Big drop in Moz Domain Authority in the latest mozscape update
-
hi,
Before Moz were forced to roll back the moz scape I saw a drop in all 3 of my campaigns domain authority;
42 > 39
39 > 35
24 > 22I am employing differing tactics on these campaigns, one of which i would say leans towards the less white (the one in the middle of those stats). The other 2 however are all clean.
So, did anyone else see a drop in DA before moz retracted the figures? was there an issue with the latest moz update?
Thanks in advance.

Hi! There wasn't an issue with the latest moz update in terms of metrics, it was a different problem that caused us to roll back, and we hope to be back to the current dataset tonight. Here's a post with some more information: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/23586982-Mozscape-API-Temporarily-Rolled-Back-to-March-19-Index-

Overall I saw many of the sites that I monitor falling 1-3 points during the last update. It seems that the scale was raised a bit. However, one site where we are working very hard to earn quality links moved up 3 points against the trend. Maybe the data I'm seeing is flawed but it appears that the trend was that a lot sites saw a subtle drop.

Domain Audit
Hi What is the best tool out there to doing a full brand audit for company. They've created at least 15 websites and have possibly many domain names which have been ordered by different people over many years. I need to find the quickest and best tool to do this with. Any suggestions would be great.

Moz scores
Hi All, Could anyone please explain for me why the moz scores that show under SERPs in Google search show one set of values, but when i click on the SERP listing and go to that page, the Moz scores at the bottom of the tab the page is open in are completely different. Why is moz saying I have a 404 error?
I recently asked a question on here about how to fix my 404 error. I figured it out, and now webmaster tools says it's not there any more. This as been confirmed by keeping watch for about a week now. But Moz just crawled my site today and is for some reason showing an error. Am i missing something here or is Moz a little slow sometimes?

My Moz domain authority fell last week but so did all 3 of my competitors. What could cause that?
As a loyal Moz Pro subscriber I track my site's authority, trust and links against 3 similar competitors. Last week my authority fell from 61 to 60 but all 3 competitors saw a drop in their authority that week too. Was the Moz domain authority calculation changed? Did anyone else see a drop or has something odd happened to just our market? Any ideas? Not sure if this is something I should address or just shrug and ignore. Cheers

Domains and sub domains - newbie
Hi Recently set up my SEOM MOZ account so any help would be great! On the competitive domain analysis page the sub domain metrics appear as good (if not better) then the domain. The Moz rank and trust are better on the sub domain. I know the website copy is appearing on both non-www and also www (which I assume is being referred to as the subdomain) on the competitor domain analysis page). Should I now 301 the WWW site to the non-www.... which will then concentrate the SEO and SEOMoz then will only have the root domain metrics appearing? Many thanks for your help in advance!

List sub-domains for a root domain.
Is there an easy way to find out all the sub domains registered for a given root domain. Our site (ea.com) has literally hundreds registered sub domains. I need to track down the ones that are public. It would be nice to get a list of public sub domains, along with some link metrics on each. Maybe this could be a new linkscape feature. Thanks, David Fricks

How are our competitors getting these inbound linking domains?
I'm currently managing SEO for my company's website, and I'm getting into link building for the first time. As part of the process, I'm using Open Site Explorer to see who's linking into our competitor sites, to get a better sense of what's available to us in our particular avenue of e-commerce. However, I'm finding that our competitors are getting inbound links from high-authority sites pretty far afield from selling jewelry - census.gov, parallels.com, warnerbros.com, and others. I try clicking through to these links, but each link starts a download of a file. I've seen .f4v, .7z, and .apk files listed as inbound links to our competitor. How is this happening? Again, I'm new to link building, so there may be a simple answer here, and if so I apologize for asking. However, this seems really strange to me, and a difficult situation to confront.
