Conversion Rate boost - Website Feedback

We are a relatively young company with an Okay conversion rate of around 2% across several different sales channels. I am mentioning this because our website with the same type of products has a very low conversion rate of under 1%. I know this is a deep topic, involving different analytic metrics, but would like to ask MOZ community members if there's anything obvious that needs improvement on this website www.cherrywalls.com that would help to increase conversions. I will be happy to answer any additional questions or to clarify things!

We will definitely look into making our content more engaging.
Do you think setting up a blog/news feed on the homepage would be a necessary step? Or simply including Blog link in the header is good?

That's an interesting thought about the carousel usage. We were assuming that the majority of our visitors are there to find and purchase a wall decal because of how we target our audience. We will try different "call to actions" on the homepage to see if it will make a big difference. Your suggestion is great and makes perfect sense.

Personal Opinion!
In my opinion two things that are badly missing on your website includes a powerful blog strategy and a strong and engage-able social media strategy! If you can focus on these two I am sure the conversion rate will increase dramatically.
I haven’t spend much time on your website but after reading your about us and few other pages I was not really impressed and convinced to go with your services or product you are offering.
I believe your website pages should have and encouraging content that allow the people to motivate in your favour and drop question that you can later convert in to leads.

Wow, that's a great site that you have! I really love the clean design and font choice - pleasing to the eyes and goes well with your decal products.
If there's one thing I can nitpick, you may want to do away with the carousel on your home page. It took me a while after arriving at your page to realise you are selling decals. Instead, use a photo of your most impressive decal, put a tagline (e.g. "Brighten up your house with our decal") and a large call-to-action (e.g. "Buy one for your house today"). I see that you offer samples, and in that case, your call-to-action can be "Order a sample today!".
I believe this will be more effective than flashing deals on the carousel, which visitors won't be interested in until you get them interested in your products first.

How does Shopify attribute conversions?
I'm trying to resolve a number of conversion discrepancies found in Google Analytics. I discovered that Shopify also provides its own 'conversion details'. In some cases they correlate, which is awesome! But in many cases they do not. Anyone know why this is? And which is more reliable (remembering that Shopify is an actual, real order)? Does anybody know how Shopify attributes conversions (ie. last click, first click, or some hybrid of the two)?

Suggestions to Improve Worst Conversion Form Ever Designed?
My commercial real estate web site has about the worst conversion form ever designed (http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/visitor-details). The form appears whenever a visitor does a property search. If they do not release their phone number and email address they don't get results. The form only gets completed 25% of the time and often the contact details are wrong. The visitors either exit the site at that page or go to the listing or neighborhood pages to view listings without doing a filtered search. In an attempt to increase conversions we are softening the form and not making completion mandatory. After entering an inquiry the visitor will be shown three property listings before the form pops up, The idea being that once they have seen product they will be more inclined to release contact info. Also, the form will appear once they have viewed three listings anywhere on the site, not just for search results. Unlike the existing conversion form (http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/visitor-details) we are trying to keep the text very concise. The new form will be Java script rather than a URL. Can anyone offer some ideas on how to make the text of these new forms more enticing? The forms are listed below. We will probably show the first one after the visitor views 3 listings and the variation of it after the visitor views another 3 listings. ** FORM #1** Quit wasting time searching for listings. Large changes in conversions with consistent traffic
Hi Everyone, I am looking for some help, I have just taken over a campaign for a client and we are seeing huge changes in conversion rates overnight. The client is selling a health product and is consistently getting around 1-2k visitors per day. We are getting about 6% of the traffic to the buy page consistently. However, we have found that one day the order process may convert 1/20 of these visitors and another day it could be 1/80. We are only talking about 5-20 sales per day, but I am really confused why one day it can convert so well and another so poorly. The traffic being sent is the same and all other factors are the same (no split testing). There seems to be no logic, the day of the week does not seem to impact, it almost seems random. If anybody has any recommended places to look that would be very helpful as at the moment I am at a loss. Example: Sunday 15th Visitors: 1,279

Landing Page Conversion Rates
I had a client claiming his industry (replacement home windows) conversion rate was around 15% based on his research. In my research i could find nothing of the sort, and really couldn't find a single place that provided this type of information. Anyone out there have some advice on where to research industry conversion rates (averages) or tools/thought processes to explore? Thanks! (these stats would primarily be used for goal setting and competitive analysis)
