Facebook Instant Articles - will it hurt SEO?

I am intrigued by Facebook IA and am thinking that putting some of my company articles on it would be beneficial for marketing. Question is, will it hurt SEO if I take an article that is on my website and also submit it to Facebook IA? Will it register as duplicate content in Google? Could it have other benefits/risks?

One long article or 3 smaller articles broken down into logical steps

Hey, So I think the title of my question says it all really. I've written an article which is now 3k words. Should I : a.) publish as one article and reap the benefits of a very authoritative page on the subject, social shares, etc, but secondary keywords will be formatted as sub-headings (H2 tags) within the article. or, b.) break article down into 3 logical steps, resulting in 4 pages (intro, part 1, part 2, part 3) and reap the benefits of 3 highly optimized pages where secondary keywords become primary keywords (URL, Meta Title, H1, etc) Thoughts welcome? Page Speed and Social sharing bookmarks - how to balance

I've been having some challenges on my page load times and am in process of addressing. Some of the issues are my pictures(so I'm in process of condensing), but part of the issue (according to pingdom.com) is my social sharing. I was using 1 click retweet, and when I changed this to Sexy bookmarks, it seemed to improve. But, I'm wondering 2 things: 1. Do you guys have any recos on which plugin is best to use and takes least time to load (I'm not sure if this is contraditory). My priority is G+/Tw/FB. 2. On my sexybookmarks, it's strange because visually, the plugin is not showing up correctly. Where the G+ button should be, it's invisible. Ironically it works, if I click on it, but a normal person is not going to realize it's there. Any suggestions? In case it helps, my site is TheFlooringGirl.com. I don't think the plugin shows up there, but it does show up at the bottom of all of my blog posts. Thx. I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Number of Facebook likes and shares for a webpage went significantly down.

I noticed that a bunch of "likes" and "shares" had gone down for a webpage I do marketing for, and I wanted to see if anyone had also experienced this. About two years ago, I realized that when I would send a FB message with a link to a webpage I was promoting, the number of shares and likes for the page would go up by one. So, thinking that I had stumbled onto something incredible, I proceeded to message over 500 people on facebook with a link to the webpage. Soon enough, I had increased the likes and shares displayed on the webpage to 635 (as shown in the Digg Digg plugin). Today, I went back to the same page and realized the number of shares and likes had gone down to 160. Has anyone experienced a drop in the number of shares and likes, and has anyone increased their likes and shares by sending a message with a link to a webpage being marketed? (You can test this out by messaging someone in facebook with a single link to webpage that displays the number of facebook "likes" and "shares" -Once you send the message the number should go up by one) Thanks

Is there a way on OSE or any other site to find the 50 most socially shared URLs on a given domain?

I'd love to see which URLs on a specific domain get socially shared the most. I know I can use OSE to say figure out exactly how much social sharing has happened on let's say this URL:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama But what if I want to figure out the top 50 most shared URLs across all of wikipedia.org. Is that possible on OSE or anywhere else? If not, do you have some ideas on how something similar could be achieved?

Is it possible to customize the size and shape of social sharing buttons?

Hello SEO people... I have an important and urgent question. Is it possible to customize social sharing buttons with counter? We are developing a new website and I want to place the social sharing (not the social follow buttons) at a specific location on the website. The space available is not a lot and my developer says that it is not possible to change the size of the button+counter.... please tell me what you guys know about this. And if the answer is 'YEs they can be customized' then please give me a link that I can forward to the boy so that he can work on it. Your answers will be highly appreciated. Regards, MTI

What is more important, tweets/shares or traditional link building?

SMM has a presence that is just growing and growing. I'm hearing all these back and forth talks about how tweets/shares are influencing rankings more than traditional link building would. If so, would this be a short term ranking improvement, long term? What percentage would you say SMM (ranking factor) has when ranking a website in the SERPS.
