How to find all banklinks for a URL that forwards to a main URL

I have a client (yea! my second one doing seo) who has a law firm. He has a main site and then another site that just forwarded to his main website.
He wants to find all the directories (and other places on the web) where his second site is listed. At the time when he was adding his firm into the directories, he was using his secondary url but now he wants to go back and use his main website.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have a log of every place he added himself.
I tried just searching Google for "mysecondarywebsite.com" (in quotes)for example but the SERPS return listings that aren't right.
Suggestions?

Heyo,
I'd start with OSE and export the data compare it to GWT "Your Site on the Web" tab (specifically the Internal Links as well as the Links to your Site).
Then take a trip down to good old:
This is a great way to analyze Second Tier Links if the first site contains links with the secondary URL. Also consider analyze the anchor text with this process. Will probably take a bit of elbow grease, but this is a good start.

The link operator is fairly limited. I would suggest pulling the external referring domain report for Majestic or if you are an SEOmoz pro member, use OSE's in combination with GWT external link reports to pull the list of sites.
However to be honest you will not be able to get all of these results as most of them might be removed or so low value that it wouldn't get picked up by these tools.

Give the "link:" operator a try, or see if OSE has any data. I'd say use GWT, but I'm assuming since it's just a forward there isn't an account set up.

Forwarding a domain seems to be creating 10,720 backlinks according to majestic?
I have a site toptwincitiesrealtors.com that points to my main site mnpropertygroup.com when I look up my backlinks on majestic it says I have 10,720 coming from this toptwincitiesrealtors.com site. should I stop pointing that site? Can a feeder site link directly to the main site?
I have a client that has several coupons sites. They have about 15 different URLS all of which are [city]deals.com all of the domains have coupons lists that are relevant to that area. Other than the coupons there is not any other content on the sites. There is a Main site however, that has coupons, content, store locations, blogs, news etc... The coupons on the feeder sites are displayed differently than what is displayed on the main site. They are also categorized differently. So the question is on the feeder sites can they have the coupon link directly to the store page on the main site?

Keyword Domain URL structure
Hello all, We have a domain with one of the primary keyword within the domain itself (audisite) and reading through some of the topics, having a keyword within the domain itself seems to be not as significant as we had assumed. We currently have a URL strucuture ( http://audisite.co.uk/new-audi/a4 ) which we were thinking of modifying to something like audisite.co.uk/a4 based on the premise that the 'audi' keyword is already in the domain itself. Also in terms of URL optimization, which of these will be the most effective URL (if the content is exactly the same). Or is my whole approach incorrect to URL optimization fundamentally incorrect? /a4 /new-audi-a4 /new/audi-a4 /new-audi/a4 /new/audi/a4 I will be very grateful for any advice/suggestions/pointers. Site used to rank first for main keyword - now dropped drastically
The home page for this site (http://bit.ly/4m1eXy) was ranking between #1 and #3 for the term "Minneapolis criminal defense" as of a few months ago. Now the home page has dropped to #23 for this keyword, and the only changes we've made should be enhancing its ability to rank - through on-page optimization, cleaning up site errors, and ensuring good, quality content. The thing is, the sites who rank ahead of our site have lower domain authority and page authority, and their content, quite frankly, just isn't that great. Some of them are definitely doing SEO but they aren't necessarily targeting "Minneapolis criminal defense" like we are for the search term. Before our company started doing SEO for this website, they hired a company that generated a large number of backlinks that Google would probably now see as spammy. The previous company also used to direct traffic towards the home page for the keyword "Minneapolis DWI laywer" too - and we have since stopped doing that. So I'm wondering with all of Google's algorithmic updates if this is the reason we're seeing a drop for this term, and if Google's confused. We're pretty confused, too, though, since the sites ranking ahead of us don't seem to be doing squeaky clean SEO by any means. Advice for us? We're stumped. Would anyone consider Google's disavow tool for the bad links?

Finding Directories – HIGH Quality – Directory Critic REALLY???
I am trying to concentrate on high quality directory link building as part of my search for quality one way followed links. My usual criteria is: Domain rank of at 70+ Page ranks of 20-30+ on the actual link pages. Human edited I have been finding them using loads of different resources and have occasionally used Directory Critic. (Obviously I have used the SeoMoz directory list but as we are all aware this is past it’s prime..) Any resources or techniques other people use?
