Value of Links WITHOUT anchor text?
-
Does having links without or with irrelent (such as your name on blog comments) anchor text improve your SERP ranking?
-
Hello Lindz1, Firstly the anchor text is widely considered by leading SEO experts as one of the most influential factors in search engine rankings. This is supported by search engine representatives. Why? Because the anchor text shows the search engines what the page which is being linked to is about.
The fact is If there may be NO visible anchor text detract or even eliminate the link value in the search engines.
-
Yes, absolutely. Anchor text is one indicator of topic of the page, but the link itself is valuable regardless of anchor text.
Most links in a "natural" link profile won't have ideal anchor text. Your brand name, the raw URL, and things like your personal name or "click here" will typically appear frequently, so those are good things to have in your link profile alongside your optimized anchor text links.

When conducting a link building strategy does it matter the country the link is from?
We are a UK business and if we have links mostly from US based blogs and websites does this penalise us. The links are from relevant websites and topics. Should we be focusing on .co.uk sites

Link text
Can anyone give me any advise regarding anchor text in back links on external sites. I have about 8 bloggers reviewing our products on their sites. When they link to our site, they either use the words of our company name or something like “click here” as the words in the link. There are a few key words that we are wanting to improve for so should those words be made as the live link on their site?

Will online PR with optimized anchor-text hurt my SEO efforts?
With Google's recent phishing expedition and increased focus on natural link profiles etc where does this leave PR distribution with optimized anchor-text? Using the pai for PR distribution services has always been a great way to build backlinks but I just wonder whether these will be considered over-optimised in future?

Is it worth it to link to sites that link to you in guest posts?
Suppose you published a guest post on a quality site and you link to a previous guest post you have written for another site (which links to you). In theory you could send link juice to the page that links to you for a second order effect. Has anyone seen results from this tactic?

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?
So I ran http://www.riogrande.com/ into this site not that long ago and wanted to see if any other SEO's have an opinion on it. I've seen a Google bomb before, but the amount of links going into this URL is insane. The thing is how does one over come a Google Bomb? Do you just wait to see what Google does or do you just hope to rank under that URL? I should also note that it appears that all the keywords to it are relevant to the sites content. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
