Best Way To Set Up Link Structure
-
I have set up each page on my site to be a landing page as it were . Employing a couple of concepts one of which being that I do not want the user to browse away from the page to a page that has no contact form on it . I would in fact prefer as most landing page companies seem to agree that the user stay on the page where they land and contact me through the form . I currently have a page called my domain/links that displays a superfish Joomla menu that I have not styled or done anything with really because I only use it to access the pages while editing and have no real intention of a user Actually finding the page . I intend on eventually deleting it . Most of the pages on the site are directed towards geographical cities in the surrounding area . The pages are not duplicate content obviously but they are all speaking pretty much the same message to my audience . Hey this company does electrical work in your town .
I have no problem with putting a text link menu at the bottom of the page before the footer with all of the pages on the site . However this being a content management site I could simply put this at the bottom of every page . Should I do this ? Or should I put this only on the home page and then have all the other pages link back to the homepage .
Or should I do a hybrid of this and put them all on the home page and then on the other pages put Four or five links to different services that we do such as recessed lighting , under cabinet lighting , get a quote . Pages such as this that I actually want the user to possibly browse to Such as in a traditional website model .
I am a firm believer that keeping the person on this page Leads to higher conversions . However visually speaking the opportunity to fill out the form is there on every page .
There are many things to consider so I would like a few professional opinions . Thanks !
PS Merchant circle has been getting some negative press lately . I have a blog there that has a great page ranking . Previously I was copying a version of my text links and posting it at the bottom of my blogs . Is merchant circle still in good staining and a good bet for links ? opinions comments thank you !

Rand has a great post on targeting a single keyword across multiple geo's.
I'd say overall, it pays to keep in mind Google's "serve the user, not the engine" philosophy - if you don't want users to see certain pages of your site, then you'll have to try and keep them separate or deep down in your internal link structure (ie at least two clicks/links away from each other), so that it's unlikely that they'll be able to just "click through" to an almost identical page.

Back links do I need my keyword in them to rank? If so creative way to accomplish this?
The first question is pretty self explanatory. If I do need my keyword I'm trying to rank for in my link example: Looking for a cool skateboard (cool skateboard) is my keyword. Can anyone on here help me come up with some creative ways for me to get folks to post backlinks to my site with that key word in it? Unfortunately my sites url does not have the keyword in my domain.

Internal linking anchor text with automated ASP.NET link building
Hi Everyone I really need some help here, the problem I have must be one that many have. I have a simple e-commerce style website so 1 product page can in fact get 40-50 internal links to it. These links come from a mixture of: 1. The parent category pages that the product sits on (Rugged PDA) and in turn the 10 filter pages of this category page (Rugged PDA, ordered by battery size). 2. Alternative product list on other product pages, So many products link to each other as alternatives. From Google analytics we can see that visitors like to browse product to product seeing 5 alternatives on each page with titles like "Smaller", "more rugged" etc. 3. Manufactuer pages, so we have a link to each product from each manufacturer home page where we talk lots about each manufacture we resell. We also have links from images used in the website. So its a nice usable website but we're finding that Google is still telling us in Webmaster tools that it thinks some links are dubious and we're trying to find out why. We only now have 190 external links to the website, most are internal and from the website or our blog on a subdomain. The problem we think is that we generate the category and products pages all dynamically so the anchor text is looking the same. Will this potentially create issues for us? Dave

What are the best SEO agencies for link building?
I am not looking for a full service SEO agency. I just want link building. Not paid links, not link networks, not blog comments, not bookmarks...real, legit, decent links. Does anyone have any experience working with an SEO agency that helped them develop their link profile positively and at a reasonable price? I'm willing to pay for the service, I just want to work with someone who won't buy links or send a bunch of spam our way. If anyone has worked with such an agency, please let me know so I can contact them for more info. Thanks!

Link Farming
Are link farms still bad? I still am not sure about this question. I know that some people still do link farms. If they are bad, wouldn't a directory be considered a link farm? For instance I can get my site on a .EDU, but it will just be a list of links. Is that bad?

Is there way to identify all back links throughout a site or do I have to check one site page at a time? Thanks!
Sorry if it is obvious, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'd like to be able to run a report that will list all of the back links on every page of my site.

Article Links
I write and publish artcles. Typically I publish them on a few top article sites like EZineArticles. The articles then get picked up by other sites, often numbering in the hundreds. All of the articles are published with a link back to our website using a keyword. Are there any SEO risks in this type of link proliferation?
