Domain position on site:domain.com search

Hi,
After the last week Google algotithm update, my web site index appears on 4th position when I search for site:www.domain.com
If I make a simple search for domain or domain.com it ranks on first position.
Is this a sign of a penalty ? What would be the cause ?

Yes, there were some changes in rankings after the algorithm update. I lost ~10-20 positions ( I mean from position 3-4 to 23-24 ) for some keywords, for others just 1-2 positions ( from 1st place to 2nd, or from 1st place to 3rd ) .
No, the pages above do not have a greater link popularity.

I've tried to see if I can replicate it with any of my sites, but both the www and non-www site: searches always return the homepage.
Has there been any changes in ranking or traffic/keywords sending you visitors? (Or basically, why is it that this worries you :D)
Do the subpages showing above your homepage have a greater link popularity? Been building deep links or are they popular content?

Your root domain may have been penalized, but you could probably get a better idea if you could look at the traffic or keywords that your domain ranked for before the update. I know this sounds stupid, but make sure your results aren't being personalized. Googles really been skewing all of my results with that lately, and doesn't let me disable it.

I'm searching for site:www.domain.com . domain.com redirects to www.domain.com
When I do the search it returns 3 internal pages, on 4th position www.domain.com, then the rest the internal pages.
Before the update, the index page was the first in the results list

Are you searching site:domain.com with no www? I'd say that's not good if it's other competitiors, and not other pages of your site. Which one does your domain redirect to, and did it do this before the update?

Domain authority of competitor went up drastically
Hello Moz community, I’m following one of my competitors on Moz, and I noticed a huge bump in his domain authority overnight, going from 8 to 53. I figured there must have been a reason for that, so I checked their links overview, and noticed they got tons of new external followed links, followed linking domains and total linking domains (see screenshot 1). I clicked on the external followed links to see what they are, and I saw tons of redirect notices (see screenshot 2). The links are from google: maps.google.co.fr cse.google.co.fr images.google.co.fr And .fr is just an example, they have tons of other cctlds like .it .ca .es… the list goes on (see screenshot 3) Do you know where these redirect notices are from? It may be worth noting that some of these redirect to the http version of his website, while others redirect to the https version. I’m guessing this must be a bug on Moz’s end or some sort of SEO trick, but did his DA really go up that much, and does it positively affect his website or will Google penalize this? Too many links from one site?
In webmaster tools in 'links to your site' I have a totla of 819 links but 580 have appeared from one site. Is this bad for SEO?

Anyone familiar with the effects of cybo.com or kafeicha.com?
I have new a client with a couple dozen normal inbound links along with a 150 links between these two domains. What do you think, disavow time? These links are not showing in OSE, but are listed by Webmaster Tools. The cybo.com links are in sets, seems to language?, ten or so links each from ar.cybo.com el.cybo.com en.cybo.com es.cybo.com fa.cybo.com fr.cybo.com etc

Is there a software to help me check whether the sites that i give link to, also place my link on their site (reciprocal link)?
When i exchange links with others, i usually put their link on my site hoping that they'll do the same. Since it's impossible to check all sites whose link i have placed on my page to see if they have put a link back to me, i was wondering whether there is a kind of software to help me do that!

Exact Domain Match URL
Hello I have a few competitors ranking VERY well for exact keyword match URL. They have a single hosted page, when a customer clicks to buy inventory ir re-directs to there main url. Will google eventually catch on to this? Excellent position, very little backlink/seo work. Is this something that I should also look into for my own site? Thank you!

Links not showing up in Site Explorer?
Why aren't some backlinks showing up in Site Explorer? I have links to my home page (www.mortgagesbymark.com) from Trulia at http://www.trulia.com/blog/mortgagesbymark/ but they're not showing up in Site Explorer. Thanks for your help!

Telalinks.com - good idea or not?
I found this website:http://www.telalinks.com/how.shtml Is it a good idea to join? Apparently I need to upload a 1kb file into my website that contains links out to some other relevant websites. Not sure if they will increase SEO rank of decrease it?
