Guest Blogging
-
I am looking to get into guest blogging for our retail brick-and-mortar store to increase more local search traffic.
1. Any local SEO recommendations/tips you have?
2. Can you post the same article in multiple places? Or is this a huge no-no?
3. For local search, should we focus on article directories or guest blogs?
Thanks in advance for your feedback, and sorry that it's a three-parter!
-
1- Make local listings , & Google places etc
2- big no no
3-guest blogging for sure
4- focus on guest blogging on sites with a audience similar to your customer base (make sure the sites have traffic)
-
1. Just use your address and phone number in the byline of your blog posts, along with a link.
2. You can, but it kind of defeats the purpose. The 30 minutes it takes to write a decent piece of content is the least you can offer a blogger in return for space on their site.
3. Guest blogs. I would stay away from article directories - just my opinion, but they tend to be spammy, can lead to anchor text over optimization, and (if and when that happens) it is very difficult to remove the links.

Starting Blog
Right now my page speed is above my competitors but I'm concern about the effect blog pluggins could have on my speed page. What would be a good plugin to start doing this without affecting too much to my speed page rank? My site: https://dentistaslaspalmasgc.es/

Does More Guest Posts Effect Website Rankings in a Negative Way?
Hello Everyone, On an average I am getting around 20 backlinks for 15 days. All these backlinks are done through proper outreach and guest posts in relevant websites. We have a team of four people doing only outreach and getting backlinks through proper guest posts. But I am worried on whether it will effect my website ranking in a negative way? Kindly get me clarified with my doubt. Should I continue this or should I reduce my numbers?

Reposting Blog posts on 3rd party sites
We have a few informational blog posts that are valuable to some readers. We have posted them in our blog but were contemplating posting them on 3rd party blogging websites such as Blogger, Squidoo, etc.. Ideally we would continue to maintain these accounts with multiple blog posts, but would all be reposts of the original blog. These are not half english blog posts just hoping to gain a better Google rank. They will provide value to the readers who might not be finding their way to our website directly. Is posting these blog posts on the 3rd party websites, linking back to the original article and maybe some products that are related to the specific document going to negatively affect our rankings due to the duplication of the content?

Link Building: Just Great Content, Blog Comments, and Guest Blog Posts?
I love SEOMoz. It has motivated me to dive way more into SEO. I know all the shoulds. But what fascinates me about SEO is that shoulds don't always match up to what works. I'm looking at Open Site Explorer, specifically my site. I see a lot of links I got naturally. By having awesome content. So is there any point in emailing people asking htem to add my link? Or do I spend my time writing awesome content, sharing it on social media, and hoping someone comes across it and shares it? I know blog commenting, when relevant, can bring me new visitors. I'm sure it helps SEO too. Maybe I just need to reach out and write guest blog posts for grabbing some links? Its just as Google wants it! OMG, how white hat. Is that it? or should I be even more active? I.E. emailing people and saying "hey, I have this awesome website, your readers would find it useful" sort of thing? Love to hear your opinion!

Blog Commenting - Useful?
How useful are you finding blog commenting to be regarding link building? I was having a discussion with someone about this today, and I thought some input from the Moz community may be helpful. How helpful do you find blog commenting to be in link building? Do you have any evidence of effectiveness/ineffectiveness? Is it something you still currently do (for link building)? Any input is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Should you guest post on a site with no quality links?
Suppose a site is related to your industry and has a relatively good domain authority of 49. However when you look at their link profile it is mostly directories and they don't seem to have any natural links from quality sites. Would you still take the link if they offered to publish your guest post?

Blog Commenting Question Off Page
While blog commenting, many people tend to use their 'anchor text' when asked to provide with their name. Hyperlinking anchor text inside the blog comment is perfectly understandable for me but using anchor text when asked to provide your name is something that I see as spam and something that totally confuses a normal user who reads the blog comment and sees a weird name in the name section. Search engines too must be perfectly aware of this and thus I am of the opinion that such anchor texts don't care much weightage in the eyes of search engine. However many of my fellow SEO colleagues tend to differ. They say you should use anchor text when asked to provide with a name. And I am totally against this form of promotion That's why I wish to ask the opinion of experts in SEO MOZ on this topic. Awaiting your feedbacks
