How do I delete a question?

Having problems with this question, old edits get saved as copies of the question, even this one had to be edited twice, originally an old version of an edited question.
How do I DELETE a question I authored (like this one) I see no button for it.

I'm afraid there is no way to delete them. You get to ask a question of SEOMoz staff each month however, so rather than post this, I would ask them the question of if they can add a delete button or delete a question for you.

Question about SEO and domains
Hello, Over time we have purchased many domain names that relate to our business. Let us say we sell chairs of type A, chairs of type B, Tables of Type C etc. We also have a main web site (main domain) which has been functioning for many years and is ranked well but not great. Since we have domain chairtypeA.com and chairtypeB.com I was thinking of putting them to good use as follows. STRATEGY A a) Create the domain as a parallel domain but is mainly informational - it talks about chair type A, its history, what to look for etc. It has the same IP address as main domain b) Have all the links on the page be directly linked to the MAIN site- so if you are on page for ChairtypeA and want to see it in a set you just click a link and it takes you to the main site. c) The look and feel of the ChairtypeA site is exactly the same as the main site - in fact except for the Heading, title and content the whole framework is from the main site. My hope is that if people are looking for chairtypeA, we would rank and attract customers. Plus it would use up some of the domain names we have purchased. THE OTHER ALTERNATIVE (Strategy B) is a) Create a domain for chairtypeA parallel to main domain (same IP address) b) redirect it to subfolder in main domain c) refer to the pages also as maindomain/chairtypeA (here is where it is no longer purely parallel) I have 3 objectives a) Use my purchased domain names b) Focus on certain products (liek ChairtypeA) c) Overall increase visibility and ranking Please give me any feedback which indicates whether Strategy A or Strategy B is more effective, or if any has negative consequences. Or you could suggest Strategy C - a completely new approach. Thanks Sam

On-page grader question
Hi there, Getting to know the Pro tools and can't find an answer to this. Can someone explain for me please? Using on page grader, I found a couple pages with an F. I scrolled downWTO where it shows the keyword phrases and under each, the URL. Clicking on the first keyword "Building site alarms"it tells me off essentially for not optimising the page for that term. The URL is "construction site security systems" which are different to building site alarms which also have their own page. I don't understand why is Moz associating this keyword with this page? I certainly haven't told it to. Please he

Question #3) My last question has to do with Some SEOmoz crawl diagnostics -
I recently fixed (or well, I am asking to make sure that this was the right thing to do in my first question posted a few minutes ago), a problem where all of my internal main sidebar category pages were linking using https://, which to my knowledge means SECURE pages. anyways, OSE, and google seem to be not recognizing the link juice. but my rank fell for one of my main keywords by 2 positions about a week after i made the fix to have the pages be indexable. Making my pages properly linked can't be a bad thing right? That's what I said. So I looked deeper, and my crawl diagnostics reports showed a MASSIVE reduction in warnings (about 3,000 301 redirects were removed by changing the https:// to http:// because all the secure pages were re-directing to http:// regular structure) and an INCREASE, in Duplicate Page Titles, and Temporary redirects... Could that have been the reason the rank dropped? I think I am going to fix all the Duplicate Page Title problems tonight, but still, I am a little confused as to why such a major fix didn't help and appeared to hurt me. I feel like it hurt the rank, not because of what I did, but because what I did caused a few extra re-directs, and opened the doors for the search engine to discover more pages that had problems (which could have triggered an algo that says hey, these people have to much duplicate problems) Any thoughts will be GREATLY appreciated thumbed, thanked, and marked as best answers! API and bitflag question
I've googled and read and still confused on this. Regarding the link metric bit flags: http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/link-metrics I understand everything about how the API works and have it all working, except for this bit flag thing... And there's no example on this page of how to use the bit flags in an API request so it's hard to work it out. My current API call is: "http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/" & $db & "/" & $objectURL & "? SourceCols=" & $SourceCols & "&TargetCols=" & $TargetCols & "&Scope=" & $Scope & "&Sort=page_authority" & "&Filter=" & $Filter & "&AccessID=" & $accessID & "&Expires=" & $expires & "&Signature=" & $urlSafeSignature There are 4 Link Metric Bit Flags: 2, 4, 8, and 16. How do I use those in the above URL Do I use those in SourceCols? And there's about 15 Link Flag Definitions (ranging from 1 to 65536). So I use those in TargetCols? I've tested different variations and I get different responses but the responses aren't documented either. For example, if I get "luutrp":5.432777943351583,"luutrr":1.415861867916131e-14" in a response... what IS luutrp or luutrr. These acronyms are not outlined anywhere that I can find. This link: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/the-busy-developers-guide-to-seomoz-bit-flags outlines an example but is using Cols (not SourceCols or TargetCols) so either this page is outdated or I'm missing something. Is there also a "Cols" parameter? Basically, I just want: - given a single URL, show me all links (page to page) pointing to that URL, and give me the same information that's displayed in Open Site Explorer (page authority, anchor text, title, etc, etc) but also give me some additional information such as, "is it on the same C block?" What's an example URL for the above request? Really hoping someone can shed some light on this under-documented API.

A question about Mozbot and a recent crawl on our website.
Hi All, Rogerbot has been reporting errors on our website's for over a year now, and we correct the issues as soon as they are reported. However I have 2 questions regarding the recent crawl report we got on the 8th. 1.) Pages with a "no-index" tag are being crawled by roger and are being reported as duplicate page content errors. I can ignore these as google doesnt see these pages, but surely roger should ignore pages with "no-index" instructions as well? Also, these errors wont go away in our campaign until Roger ignores the URL's. 2.) What bugs me most is that resource pages that have been around for about 6 months have only just been reported as being duplicate content. Our weekly crawls have never picked up these resources pages as being a problem, why now all of a sudden? (Makes me wonder how extensive each crawl is?) Anyone else had a similar problem? Pro Report Card Question
I am getting this warning in the Pro Report Card, my site is http://www.myfairytalebooks.com which seems to have Children's and not Childrens in the title. Is it my site that needs to html encode in the title or is Report Card slightly broken? Unanswered Questions
Hey SEOMoz I have been spending a bit of time in the Q&A of late and have noticed lots of questions never get answered. I also had a question of my own that I left open for ages and I figured it maybe a good idea to add some kind of email nag or on screen notification for people to close old questions. There are some that have had plenty of answers but that either never get closed & really, it takes away from the fun of participating if things are never closed off & searching shows the same old tired, answerd but not closed questions lingering around like a bad smell. 🙂 Not really a question, but a little tweak suggestion. 🙂 Cheers
