Where is the best place, from an SEO perspective to have my articles published?
1: My WordPress blog
2: As A guest post on another site.
3: Within the normal pages of my site.
Here is my site: www.fvl.co.uk
Any help and or advice would be gratefully recieved.

I would say both, your blog and guest post. You want people to know that you exist, that is why guest blogging is great, because in addtion to the link, you are in front of an audience that otherwise would have never heard of you.
But...if they visit your site, you need to have useful, relevant and helpful content so your new visitors stay on your page. Secondly, you want Google to associate your keywords to your site.
So do both, have great content on your site and write awesome guest posts.

Site/blog either or. rel=auth is markup language used to show you are the author of the content. I would detail how to setup and use, but others have long since done so:

The beauty is really in having a snippet with your pic in SERPS where your article shows up. I believe that over time it will become a trust component within the algo, but it remains to be seen.

Thank you for your response, excuse my ignorance but what is rel=auth ? when you say I can still have the article on my site as well, do you mean my site or my blog or would you consider them the same?
Thanks

Andy,
Here is a hint...it is number two. Especially if the site is similar, etc. and they use reasonable anchor text. I would suggest you utilize rel=auth on your articles.
You can still have the article on your site as well.
Best,
Robert

Blog articles on website vs submitting to article submission sites
I had some articles created for a client. The site is on WordPress. I'm wondering if it is best to add the articles to the blog page of the website or if it is better to submit the articles to ezine articles. Or can I submit the same article to both places? Is there a strategy that should be followed generally speaking when creating content for the blog vs article submission sites? The goal is to increase the ranking for target keywords. I realize that the answers could take a lot of different directions. But generally speaking I would like to know, If I have an article where is the best place to add it to achieve better rankings for target keywords? Thanks for the help.

Are guest post exchanges an acceptable tactic?
Suppose you publish a guest post on a relevant and quality blog and then you have that site also write a guest post for you. Is this considered natural? What do you think of this tactic? Is there risk of a penalty for exchanging links?

Blogs that Link to Random Sites
Posting articles on the MyBlogGuest article gallery can lead to several sites offering to publish your guest post on their blog. However many of these sites will accept any guest post that links out to anything from socks to hotels. Would you avoid guest posting on these sites? (if it would take very little time to do)

What is the Optimal Guest Post Byline?
Hi Moz Community! What do you think is the optimal guest post byline or bio paragraph at the end of a guest post. Is it better to link to your homepage with your site name as anchor text AND a deep page with a target keyword phrase? Or is it better to just use one link to a deep/money page on your site with a keyword phrase?

Linkbuilding TO Your Guest Blog Post?
Hypothetical situation: You write a guest blog post for a popular blog about your niche topic. The post is a hit and sends you visitors, leads, and social media followers. Would you consider running a linkbuilding campaign to the blog post in order to help it rank better for its target keyword(s), given that the post has proven to convert successfully, despite the fact that the post is on a domain other than your own?

The Risks of Unrelated Guest Posts
Hi Mozzers! I'm really interested to get some opinions on whether a guest post on a blog that is far outside your niche could be a risky tactic. For example if your blog is about a technology product and you get a guest post published on an Elvis blog, will this appear manipulative or similar to a purchased link? Suppose your guest post is about Elvis, but at the end of the article is a link to a technology product with the anchor text "customized PC adapters". Won't that look manipulative to a search engine algorithm?
