Tool Request - What keywords does a site rank for?

Hi folks,
Something I've never had to do before so I'm not sure which tool to use, but is there a way to determine the keywords that a website currently ranks for?

Ah, you know what the problem with SEMRush is, they don't cater for Traffic in South Africa, which is where I am based

SEMRush.com is exactly the tool you are looking for. One of my favorites.

There could be, I am not sure. The company I work for did some sort of a trial so I could play with it for a few months and give my COO feed back before they entered in to a contract but I don't know if the trial was free or just at a lowered rate. We use it in an agency setting so we have many slots we can move clients in and out of - if you are just getting it for one website it is probably much more affordable.

BrightEdge really does do it, as well as many other things (I sound like a BrightEdge commercial, LOL). It is expensive though
and of course, who can say if it finds them all.... -
Sorry, I am the one that misunderstood your question, read it too fast.
I don't believe there is one single tool that can be used to 'discover' all the keywords any single site ranks for. There are a number of tools you can use collectively that may give a bigger picture.
I dug out an old moz post that might be of interest - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/what-keywords-do-i-rank-for.
Other than that I've not been able to locate a programme in the past that will do what you need on its own.

I understand totally. If you do decide you want a quick report run just let me know. I would just have BrightEdge add the domain and wait for their next crawl (they crawl every weekend) and I can email the report to you the following Monday. No problem at all

Cheers Billy! I'll keep looking and see what others can say, and then give you a shout.
Worst comes to worst, I could use something like WebCEO to find the keywords on my site and then SEOmoz' Rank Checker to see the positions, just felt it would be incredibly useful to have an "all in one" solution because sometimes we miss really important keywords, that turn out to be ranking really well. I know Google Analytics can pick that up sometimes, but that's more about intuition than an actual tool.

Michael, in my question I ask for a tool that will find the keywords that my site ranks for. In other words, the tool "reads" the website, determines the keywords, and then crawls the Internet checking their positions. SEOmoz' Rank Checker can do what you're suggesting.. Unless I've misunderstood..

Pretty simple to use, once installed add your sites domain name and then a few keywords you with to see your site ranking for.

Keyword rankings and main company tagline not matching
I have a question about keywords rankings and on page keywords. I don't rank very well for the keyword "Nutcracker". But, my tag line is "Your one stop Nutcracker and Ballet Gifts source". One of my most important keywords is "Nutcrackers" (see the s 😉 ) and I hot hit really hard in my rankings with the google algorithm update. Almost a 30 position difference from one day to the next. Am I shooting myself in the foot by having Nutcracker being in the forefront, even though my chances of ranking for that are very low as there is high competition with more actual "The Nutcracker" related content. I do have the word "nutcrackers" on my home page...but all of a sudden I feel like i'm wasting space, or I should have made the tagline "Your one stop Nutcrackers and Ballet Gifts source". It just doesn't sound as good. I just recently dove headfirst into SEO and moz, so I consider myself a noob, but I learn quite quickly. Thank you for your help! Can you create in the Keyword Difficulty Tool several separate reports?
If I go now to the Keyword Difficulty Tool and submit keywords, I get one list with all keywords (let's say 300), but I have actually say 30 keywords per segment/niche I wan't to view. Is is possible to have 10 separate reports?

How do i target keywords locally
I am working for a cosmetic surgeon with clinics in three geographic places. I would like to give him specific keywords that he can go after successfully. When I use the keyword tool with terms like botox cosmetic staten island or breast augmentation tarrytown, I get competitive rankings like 36% or 37%, but it doesnt tell me if there are only a few searchers doing this per month. In Google's Adwords tool, it thinks that the number fo searchers with these same terms is too small to measure, literally giving me back a dash (= insignificant traffic). However, it I use Google Adwords with more general terms, say breast augmentation surgeon, and get a medium/110 global monthly searches, when I come back to SEOmoz tool and assess the same keyword, I find that the traffic picks up doctor sites in Arizona and elsewhere, where clearly no one who wants cosmetic surgery in new York is going to fly to Arizona for it. So, how do I ensure a balance between targeting too little traffic but including the names of specific towns, and targetting more general terms but not having local prospects. Has anyone tackled this in a specific medical niche?

How can I get a report of the top 500 national sites using Domain Authority and Page Authority? Does someone have to type sites in one by one on Site Explorer or is there another way?
I want to know what sites and blogs have the to rankings overall based on their Domain Authority and Page Authority - Top 500 - 1000 in nation - I want to know which ones are follow and no-follow too - Does anyone know? Has anyone run such a report yet? Thanks for help - BD

SEOmoz Keyword Ranking - Does it work for local search?
I was just wondering how SEOmoz calculates keyword rankings up and down every week. Shouldn't there be a way to have SEOmoz calculate rankings on a Local and Non-Local Basis? For example I have "Local Dentist" as a keyword in SEOmo for my dental client. Rankings in Google UK
Hi there, Can someone explain the difference between the results in Google UK - the default is 'The Web', whereas I can opt to choose 'Pages from the UK'. My question is: If I'm tracking rankings for Google United Kingdom in SEOMoz, is it tracking the results from 'Pages from the UK' or the default setting of 'The Web'? Are there any statistics on how many people choose to see 'Pages from the UK'? Thanks

How do i add many keywords to rank checker
I want to use the Rank checker for a bunch of keywords, but i don't want to set tracking to them, It's just a one time only check i want to perform, but im not sure how to add many keywords (it's about 150 keywords i want to check). Rankings failure?
The rankings for all our keywords, and for our competitors as well as us, according to SEO moz have all but completely dropped off the radar. For the vast majority of the keywords, both us and our competitors are showing as not even in the Top 50, despite previously being top 20, first page and top 3 for a large number of them. What's happened? Would this be due to Google, or has some sort of error occurred seoMoz's end? The rankings have dropped so badly for all four websites I can't believe for a second they're real. Thanks.
