Using syndicated content / videos

Hi all,
We are looking at using some syndicated video content on our main category pages. We are an pharmacy and offer prescription medicines (Yes we are NHS registered and no we don't sell generic products). I want to use the videos to increase the UX for the category pages and increase stickiness......however i am a little worried about how Google will see this.
We don't have the time or budget to create our own videos but the rest of the content around them is all ours. The videos are provided by the NHS so they are good quality content and should add value to the consumer.
Will big G stiff us for doing this?

As long as you have otherwise good content on your pages, I would think it highly unlikely to cause you any problems.
We do it all the time (we're an online newspaper)
and adding highly relevant videos increases the time that readers stay on a story.
For example, we added some 2-3 minute videos to popular stories.
Adding the videos more than doubled the on-page time.

Hi everyone, On our corporate website we have a blog where we publish articles which are directly related to our company (house heating systems and gas cylinders) and some articles which are completely irrelevant to our core business, but which might be of interest to our potential clients. Recently I've been told that it is not a good idea to include these not directly related posts to our core business, because Google might be somewhat confused at to what our core business is all about. I was advised to research this topic and think of completely removing blog posts that are irrelevant to our core business from our blog. By removing I mean completely removing pages and setting a 410 status to tell Google that it is not a 404 error but that these pages were intentionally removed. How important is exact keyword match in content for SEO in 2018?
Is it necessary to have the exact keyword which you are trying to rank for within the first sentence of the content on your web page? For example if we are selling men's shoes, is it ok to have have the meta title and h1 on page say men's shoes and just talk about shoes within the first sentence of the content on the page. Is it obvious to search engines that this page is selling men's shoes even if you don't have the word men's shoes in that first sentence or is it necessary to have the exact keywords which you are trying to rank for written there?

Kickass Tool for Content Writers
I have been a writer for a long time. I have done a lot of writing. Many excellent teachers, professors, bosses, colleagues, and editors have helped me. I've responded to a lot of red ink - a lot of red ink. A few days ago, I found a tool that has been extremely helpful. It has significantly improved the clarity of my writing. Using it on a piece of work makes me more confident about it at publication time. It requires a lot of work to use (at least it does for me) but the results are well worth the time. Today they released a desktop version that they are almost giving away. I have not tried it yet but plan to instal it today.

A lot of SEO is focusing on content these days and having unique blogs and articles. I understand how this would be great for a search engine, but doesn't that leave out businesses that are not there to make content but only want to advertise their services?
