Does the canonical imply a wrost thing in terms of SEO?
-
Hello, I am wondering if the canonical warning should be seen as something wrong in terms of SEO and Google, and therefore the similar contentatr pages must be eliminated to only one page, or if the canonical could be mantained,
Thx a lot
Antonio

Are you talking about the "crawl notices" in your campaign summary?
If so, those are just notices letting you know the crawler "saw" them. You can review those notices to be sure your canonical URLs are set up correctly, but other than that you shouldn't need to do anything.
Canonical tags are used to cover these duplicate content situations so you don't need to "eliminate" pages. I think you are good. Perhaps someone else can join the discussion for further clarification too.
Hope this helps!

PDFs and SEO
Hello Fellow Mozers! Just curious... can or does Google read PDFs linked on sites? I always assumed they would be "read" much like images are...that is, the bots can't "see" the image they just read the link and title tag. I am doing SEO for a site that has many PDF forms and it just occurred to me that I have no idea about the relationship between PDFs and SEO Any thoughts would be appreciated!

We want to put images for specific geographic locations on some new pages we are building and I am wondering if: A) What the SEO value of adding these images would be? Local SEO Issue: Google Places Listing on Page 8
Hello, I'm having an issue with a client's Google Places listing. It's showing on page 8 for one of the main keyword terms but their main site is on page 1. Having looked into competitors' places listings ranking above, I've ruled out the following; lack of citations inconsistent citations incomplete profile incorrect category listing details not matching places landing page incorrect location and any form of keyword stuffing Other places listings ranking above have fewer citations, incomplete profiles, details inconsistent with their main site, one is no longer trading as a business and one has no website! In the past, our client had had two listings simultaneously but we addressed this waaaay back. Is it possible we could still be getting punished? I'm at a bit of a loss otherwise. Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated. Thankyou!

Local SEO address question - adding a suite number for shared address for office building
Hi, I have a client that has an address that is shared for a few different businesses in the holistic health field. My client is a chiropractor. There is an eye doctor, massage therapist and acupuncturist aslo sharing the same address. It's a subburban setting with two buildings all sharing one address. In the interest of preventing any merged listings down the road, I recently added un unofficial suite number to his website and Google places business listing. I also did this for all of his online directory listings, and for Bing and Yahoo as well. Did I do the right thing here? It seems to be having a positive impact on his local SEO as far as I can tell. Or at least there has not been any negative impact in the last 6 months Your thoughts?

Image SEO - Does having multiple sites using same image help?
I'd assume that if many websites reference the same image on a server that this image would rank higher in image results than a similar image that is only used on 1 website.I have yet to do any testing with this to be certain, but how important does this factor seem to be in regards to image SEO?
