How would I be able to make sure Google lists search results as a combined listing opposed to a single listing/
-
I am slightly confused about how to let Google know to index our site as a complex listing opposed to individual page listing. Our site is well established and has over 3500 indexes. Does this have to do with the Sitemap or is it something else? Is there a way to expedite Google to list our site like the example below.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Adam. The answer to your question is "yes" and "no." Let me explain. What you are referring to is something Google calls "Sitelinks." Here's information on how sitelinks work, directly from Google Webmaster Tools:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=47334
Unfortunately Adam, Google sitelinks are displayed (or not) automatically by Google. The only thing you can rtry to control, is to monitor your site's SERP results and "demote" sitelinks you feel Google is displaying that aren't particularly important or helpful to visitors. Even then, Google retains the option of ignoring your request and continuing to display whatever sitelinnks it chooses to show with your site.
I hope that helps explain it a little!
If you want more robust search results I would suggest investigating schema.org and markup of your site for rich snippets.
Good luck!
Dana

Removing indexed internal search pages from Google when it's driving lots of traffic?
Hi I'm working on an E-Commerce site and the internal Search results page is our 3rd most popular landing page. I've also seen Google has often used this page as a "Google-selected canonical" on Search Console on a few pages, and it has thousands of these Search pages indexed. Hoping you can help with the below: To remove these results, is it as simple as adding "noindex/follow" to Search pages? Should I do it incrementally? There are parameters (brand, colour, size, etc.) in the indexed results and maybe I should block each one of them over time. Will there be an initial negative impact on results I should warn others about? Thanks!

Rich Snippets not appearing in Search Results
Hi Everyone, Just a few questions on rich snippets please: We have now integrated microdata (data-vocabulary.org) on all our product pages like http://www.homeshop18.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-2-310-tablet/computer-peripherals/ipads-tablets/product:30409470/cid:8937/ which I have tested on the rich snippets testing tool which Google provides and all is working fine and is rendering properly in the tool but it is not coming in search results in google. Are we doing everything right or is there any issue in our implementation? How long does it take usually for rich snippets to appear in google organic search results?

Penguin/Panda/Domain Purchase
If I move forward with the acquisition: 1. Should I, if there is a way, just acquire the domain and then attempt to unlink existing links? 2. Can I just buy the domain, completely kill the site, and then build again from scratch? Even if I do that, the links to the domain will still be out there. 3. Should I even move forward with the purchase if I know these tactics have been used? Thanks!

Why does Google Claimed Local Listing Ranking Drop?
I have two local google places listinggs unlaimed. Both listings were ranking in the blended search in 7 pack. Once I claimed the local listings for the business both listings rankings have dropped. And one has totally vanished from the search rankings. Is this normal as it appears local places that are not claimed are ranking higher than local places claimed?

/%category%/%postname%/ Permalink structure
Mostly everyone seems to agree that /%category%/%postname%/ is the best blog structure. I'm thinking of changing my structure to that because now it's structured by date which is bad. But almost all of my posts are assigned to more than one category. Won't this create duplicate pages?

Link to Google Places, or Google Maps?
On our contact page, we offer a link to view Google Maps for directions. I'm wondering should we be linking to our Google Places page instead, or just stick with the Google Map link? Thanks!
