Do follow Blog comments
-
Alright,
I would like to know what do you think about this practice in general and hear some answer for my case.My case:
I know a net of different blogs that let you put do follow comments as long as they are good. It is not really a lot of spam going on yet, around 6 comments per blog entry.
The do follow link is in the form www.xyz.com. Normally a PR 3 after the post ranks.
There are around 20 different blogs. I have already use them and I believe with good results but can´t measure it as I do many other SEO activities.Would you recommend to get to invest time commenting in all of them? Even if all them are in the same C-block?
Please feel free to share any experience!
Thanks! -
_From pure link building perspective, commenting on the same IP blogs may not be adding that much value to the link profile of your website. But do not take it this way. Blog commenting is more than just link building, it is about engagement and believe me when you are commenting on reputed sites that match the theme of your website, it can really drive real traffic to your website. So, please do not post thinks like this – “Great Post”, “Awesome mate, keep posting like” etc. You need to do post comment that adds value to the conversation. _

Well I think they do.
My competition uses this links a lot and I am talking about pr7 websites from big companies. I Doubt they bring any traffic as they are in random topics.
But do they Weight?
Is google not smart enough to know that these are comment links? -
The general consensus on these types of questions has been if the audience is relevant you may see the benefits of traffic from comment readers. Does anyone know of any research into whether blog comments actually carry any link weight anymore?
-
I would imagine that even if there was any benefit from an SEO perspective that a couple of posts with your URL included would be enough. Hundreds of blog posts per domain wouldn't necessarily add any more weight from a link building perspective, especially if all the domains are hosted on the same server.
When it comes to whether it is worth allocating time on the endeavour, I guess the question is whether the blogs are relevant enough to your niche that providing expertise would potentially gain you relevant traffic from the blog itself. If the blogs aren't close enough to your industry or well respected enough then I wouldn't bother investing any real time on the matter.

Blog post back link
Hi, I am new to SEO and I am planning to hire someone in Fiverr regularly to submit different guest posts on the different related topic on the website with a good domain authority (>60) as a result to have some quality inbound links. As I am writing the guest post myself, May I know how many backlinks should I have per post are best for SEO? and should I only focus on anchor text backlinks? Also, here is my understanding of what I should be careful when hiring someone on Fiverr to do a blog post, please let me know if I am wrong and if there is another thing I need to be careful. It needs to be dofollow link It is permanent I check the website domain authority and spam sore that the person provides before using it. Please let me know if I missed out something. Appreciated Kind regards Chris

Poor Blog and Website DA and links
Hi There We have a mature website and a mature blog with over 500 genuine blogs written on it over 4 years. In terms of actual "people" value it has to be high. We used to get 1000 visitors per day, we now get 300. We still have 850 subscribers so its of a certain size. However we have been hit by the Penguin/Panda updates and our DA has dropped to what everyone is telling us is too low for a site like this and we still have a google backlink problem, unyet we only have 190 external links that we think are all OK now. The problem we have is that we seem to have too many links from the blog to the main website with the same anchor text. This has occurred with a blogroll style link to the home page which appears on every post/page of the blog, also I think we have too many anchor same anchor text links to product pages (Motorola ES400) and category pages (Tablet PC). We're going through changing these now so that we have the right mix but the specific questions I wanted to ask were: 1. Will loads of links with the same anchor text affect us if the blog is counted as internal links. Its on the same "blog" sub-domain as the main website. 2. Will this affect the DA of both sites? 3. Is Wordpress capable of damaging us with all the extra pages it creates automatically. We've done nothing but genuine content posting here and i'm sure we can get it back but it kind of really demotivates you when 2/3rds of your traffic goes overnight. Many thanks for any help.

Is commenting on blogs with high page rank but nofollow links worth spending time on for link building?

When you are manually posting to blogs, how closely related does the content of the blog have to be to the website?
For instance, if the website is for a hotel, would it be acceptable to post on travel blogs?

Does Google and other web crawlers follow through HTML forms?
Has anyone read or heard anything about this? I'm trying to decide if it's necessary to spell out all form options as links as well? Thanks!

Blog's Homepage isn't indexed even though posts are
My blog http://www.cleanedison.com/blog/ doesn't seem to be indexed by Google even though my posts seem to get indexed within a day or so. Is this not necessarily a bad thing? I feel like it would be nice to search "CleanEdison Blog" and get the homepage. The robots say: name="robots" content="noodp, noydir, noarchive" /> Is there anything I can do? P.S. My posts that get picked up by larger entities generally get ranked lower than the offshoot even though I have a rel="canonical" tag. Anything I can do there?

How many follow ups before giving up?
What are your thoughts about the contacting process itself. I am targeting sites in relevant industries, with domain authority over 50, asking to be added to resources or comparison pages 1-How long do you wait before sending a second/reminder email? 2-Do you have a template for follow up emails? "Hi, I contacted you a week ago about...." 3-If domain authority is decent (50-60), how many times do you follow up before giving up?
