How to use Crawl Report for a test directory

I have a client's new site set up in a folder that is not linked to from the main site. When setting up the Crawl Report, I put in the starting url for the new folder, http://oldsite.com/new/start.php. The Crawl Report came back with a crawl of the current site instead. How do folks run the crawl report to test sites before they are public? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out to us! That is a good question! Our crawler can only crawl sites that are indexable and that are public, so if you set the report to run against the starting URL for the new folder, it would try to find that folder if it is public. One thing you could try out is to set your site public right before a crawl date, then immediately close access to it, this is the only way I can think Roger would be able to do it

Add to cart redirect using 302
I am getting a list of crawl errors in Moz because I am using a 302 redirect when people click on an item using the quickview add to cart eg:http://copyfaxes.com/cart/quickadd?partno=4061 will redirect them to the viewshoppingcart page. Why do the Ranking Report emails differ from the acutal Ranking Report?
I have been noticing that the Rankings listed in the emails are far different from the ones in my report once I log in. Any idea what this is about? Often the rankings in the email are much better then in the report. And I am talking about on the same day as the email was sent out, not a week later.

SEO moz poor rankings reporting
How are we supposed to send ranking reports to clients if the rankings are constantly reporting false metrics This is not the first time this has happened, but the rankings are WAAAAAAY off. What is the point of reporting rankings that are not accurate? What is the possible cause of this. Is there a solution? What is SEOmoz doing to improve their ranking programs. Crawl reports, date/time error found
Hello! I need to filter out the crawl errors found before a certain date/time. I find the date and time the errors were discovered to be the same. It looks more like the time the report was generated. Fix?

Use of the tilde in URLs
I just signed up for SEOMoz and sent my site through the first crawl. I use the tilde in my rewritten URLs. This threw my entire site into the Notice section 301 (permanent redirect) since each page redirects to the exact URL with the ~, not the %7e. I find conflicting information on the web - you can use the tilde in more recent coding guidelines where you couldn't in the old. It would be a huge thing to change every page in my site to use an underscore instead of a tilde int he URL. If Google is like SEOMoz and is 301 redirecting every page on the site, then I'll do it, but is it just an SEOMoz thing? I ran my site through Firebug and and all my pages show the 200 response header, not the 301 redirect. Thanks for any help you can provide.

How can I change (specifically, decrease) the reporting/crawling frequency of the keyword ranking?
It always seem to compare the standings based on the week before, which confuses the issue when I'm only reporting monthly or quarterly. Is there currently (or might there be in the future) a way to set this so that the comparison is based on a time period that I specify?
