SEO on page content links help
-
I run a website at the bottom we have scroller box which the old SEO guy used to contain all of the crap content so we can rank for keywords not on the page and put all of the links in to spread the link juice into the other inner category pages (some of these pages are only listed on our innerpages otherwise).
We are trying to remove this content and add decent content above the fold with relevant long tail keywords in (it is currently decent but could do with expanding if we are removing this large chunk of text in theSEO box and some long tail keywords will be missing if we just remove it) we can add a couple of links into this new content but will struggle to list the category pages not on the left hand navigation.
If we were to list all of the pages in the left hand nav would we dilute the power going to the main pages currently or would we be in the same position we are now?
For example at the minute I would say the power is mainly going to the left hand nav links and then a small amount of power to the links in the SEO content if we put these into the nav will it not dilute the power to the main pages.
Thank you for your time and hopefully your help.

I think your question is about internal linking structure. If so, check out Moz's best practices on internal linking.
In deciding which internal links to keep on the homepage, think about those links that would be most helpful to the visitors of your site.

Best SEO Practices for FAQ Page
Hi all, I'm looking for some tips on best practices for FAQ pages. In particular, is it better to have all questions and answers listed on one page, or should each question have its own page - given that there's enough content for it Thanks

Merging Pages and SEO
Hi, We are redesigning our website the following way: Before: Page A with Content A, Page B with Content B, Page C with Content C, etc
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | viatrading1
e.g. one page for each Customer Returns, Overstocks, Master Case, etc
Now: Page D with content A + B + C etc.
e.g. one long page containing all Product Conditions, one after the other So we are merging multiples pages into one.
What is the best way to do so, so we don't lose traffic? (or we lose the minimum possible) e.g. should we 301 Redirect A/B/C to D...?
Is it likely that we lose significant traffic with this change? Thank you,0 -
Value in .EDU Link When Listed on Internship Offered Page
My company is looking to hire an Intern and a university - ".edu" - has including the job description on a page with list of "Available Internship", which includes a list of 100 other companies looking for an Intern. Our profile includes a link to our homepage like all other listings. Question: do we know search engines will give zero value to such link as they can tell it is an Internship posting page or is there a good chance it will actually be quite a valuable link?

Linking to urls with Query Parameters good for SEO?
Hey guys, I am currently buying link ad spots on sites (hardcoded, not using ad networks). I track the each link I buy and the sales they generate with query parameters such as : http://www.mydomain.com/?r=top_menu_nav_on_seomoz My question is : do these links still pass link juice? I have my canonical already set to http://www.mydomain.com Also, in Webmaster tools I have it set to ignore anything after /?r= The way I see it, a link is a link. Naturally I would prefer to send directly to my root domain, however, these links cost a lot of money and I like to track my results. Does anyone have experience with SEO and working with query parameters?
