How to link to a site without passing ANY linkjuice (other than simply nofollowing)
-
I have heard that there are other ways of linking to a site, to completely avoid passing any seo value
I think it was even in a whiteboard friday video where I saw Rand say something about doing a 307 "temporary" redirect, or something like that?
Basically, I want to let my customers compare our prices with ebay, but I don't want to have ebay outrank us (for obvious reasons)
Any help?

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out!

I have an easier way too that is harder to deobfuscate I'll PM you

Awesome! That sounds like a great option!
I just don't want to risk, even in the slightest, that I could pass any value to a site that is already as powerful as Ebay.
That's another good point though. I always try and make good use of the target="_blank" tag. I almost wish that it was coded into wordpress to have all outbound links do that.
any recommended references for obfuscated URLs?

obfuscated URLs via javascript linking will not only not pass PR but your PR won't get thrown away like it does with a nofollow.
What's wrong with nofollowing the link - that is the recommended method. Also I would make it target="_blank" so the link opens in a new window and Google doesn't count it as a bounce in your analytics.

Has anyone transferred a site from WordPress to Webflow?
We're thinking about making the move, but I'm (mildly) concerned about SEO implications.

Footer links on my site... bad for passing page rank?
i've been told that it is possible that google discounts the weight or page rank passed in footer links of websites and my website has the navigation to many of my pages in the footer of each page. My whole website is about 20 pages so each page has links to the 5 most popular pages at the top and the rest of the links are in the footer of each page. Am i losing page rank by having these links in the footer? Should i make my navigation different? I have lots of articles on my site so i thought it might be not only helpful to my readers but give my pages an seo boost if i placed in context links in the body of my articles to other pages of my site. Does this sound like a good idea? Thanks mozzers! Thanks mozzers!

My site build in HTML has been badly hit this recent update and I have been toying on the idea of changing it to Wordpress
My site build in HTML has been badly hit this recent update and I have been toying on the idea of changing it to Wordpress. Would this help in my rankings? It seems the hit came only that last 2-4 days when business become much quieter. Frankly i have no idea on why the site fell in ranking all of a sudden. Been comparing to competitors and even a friend in the same industry and nothing makes sense so far (link profile, DA, PA etc) This site has been ranking well for 3 years prior to this. 2. My site has loads of content and visitors arrive from various landpages. But by changing it wordpress, the url of most of them would probably change. What should i do? 301 redirect all of them or is there a better method?

Question about web site structure
Is there an SEO advantage for individual pages to be in sub folders vs not being in a folder? Of course site managemnt is easier with folders if you have 100;s of pages...clearly a shorter URL is easier for humans to naviagte. store.com/gadgets store.com/lasers vs. store.com/gadgets/lasers
