SEOMOZ tools are not helping!
-
So, I have a website www.mobikwik.com which provides mobile phone topup in India. I signed up for SEOMOZ Pro membership a little less than a month ago.
For all our competitors , which rank above us in google as of today , I checked out two things
a) competitive link analysis and
b) on-page optimization.
On b) , our home page had the best optimization for targeted keywords and the best score amongst all competitors who ranked above us.
On a) , linkscape tools showed our moztrust and mozrank to be the best. Except for 2 competitors, our domain authority was also better than the rest.
Inspite of all this, our website is ranked no more than 6 on google for all targeted keywords. We have the best quality links amongst our competitors.
I am at a loss to understand this and how to improve our ranking. I have to make a decision whether to renew my SEOMOZ membership in 2 days time. Please help me decide!

What about the technical, is your site optimized for search engines to crawl, I like the Microsoft SEO Toolkit to find all issues. if you have more technical issues than your compeditors this maybe why.
Does SEOMOZ show any issues.I use the tools to compare my progress against others in a relative way. They will never be completly accurate, but a good indication.

Like has been said, these metrics you have shown, tell use that
A.
You are in a competitive search market
B.
Your probally not the only site that is doing SEO
C.
Check your link's and your competitors link profiles, usually some great juicy links that you can acquire for your site and shift the playing field in your direction

As usual, EGOL is right.
Use OSE to query 10-20 of your competitor domains. Realize that the OSE tool is one of the most accurate juicy link finders, without it you would have to prioritize competitor back links by hand. With it, you are able to target the best links your competitors have with minimal effort. These are the high quality back links.
You are right, your direct competitors have weaker link profiles, so try to run it on some of the non-direct competitors, those ranking well across the board (Google.co.uk, .in, .ca, etc)
URLS to Check out their Back Link Profiles on (in OSE):
www.wirelessguide.org/plan/prepaid.htm
<cite>www.assurancewireless.com</cite>
You may want to brush up on those ranking factors and what is important to the search engines themselves and remember, there is no "code" to back linking, and you find high quality back links in the strangest of places, so just keep looking! It's never done.
Domain age is a big factor, one that Moz might not tell you is the reason you are outranked by domains with less link equity and poorer on-site SEO. Domain age of root-domain links as well. But, heck, even registrar info and terms for domain registration matters to Google. So trying to pinpoint why (beyond a scientific analysis) is overkill, and your time is better spent building links, high quality resources, and partners/friends within your vertical.

SEOMOZ tools are not helping!
They tell me that you are in a close fight!
I am at a loss to understand this....
Google uses lots of factors to rank websites. They say that they use about 200 factors. SEOMoz tools consider many factors but are not exactly the same as google uses.
....and how to improve our ranking.
I think you know... you need more links... and try to improve your site any way that you can to please the visitor... and make it very easy for visitors to share your site with twitter, facebook, etc. I use addthis.com on my site for that.

Is SEOmoz spider ignoring my redirect?
My client was previously serving their website from both a .co.uk and a .com domain. The DNS for each of these domains was pointing to the same place, rather than redirecting. I saw this as a potential duplicate content problem so I set the .co.uk to 301 redirect on to the .com. As a user, the 301 seems to be working correctly. However, now that I have done this, SEOmoz is picking up thousands of "inbound" links from the .co.uk domain. Essentially, every single link on the internal site, is being duplicated in my stats as an inbound link as well. It appears that the spider is ignoring the redirect. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate issue that will upset Google too, or if it's just a bug with SEOMoz's spider.

Are the SEOMoz queries banned by Google?
Hi: In our company, we have notified that Google is banning our IP due to massive queries under the same IP. It is caused mainly by local softwares installed in PCs or some plugins of Firefox. We think that SEOmoz don´t causes this due to its tool uses its own IP and servers, not ours. We would like your opinion about this. Thank you,

SEOmoz Report: Competitive Domain Analysis
Hi there, According to SEOmoz Dashboard's Competitive Domain Analysis, the 'Total Links' for our domain shot up (more than quatripled) in the last few weeks. We haven't really done much link building in over 6 months so not sure how to explain this. Did SEOmoz make updates to their bots? Could it be that the bots are finding all these links only now? We've been using SEOmoz reporting for almost a year now, and I've never seen this before. Some insight / explanation for this would be great. Thanks in advance,

New To SEOMOZ, 2 Questions...
Hi, 1. I got signed up with SEOMOZ yesterday and would like to know about the competitive analysis tool. I saw in a demo video of SEOMOZ that there was an aspect of Social links (Facebook etc) included in the analysis, I can't see this in my analysis however. 2. Is it possible to change websites over time? Let say in a few months I want to work on a new website, can I remove one of my 5 and add a new one? Thanks! James

How to track with SEOMOZ a website in several language
Hi, We have a customer with a website in EN, FR and ES. They used Joomfish, so each language is in a subdirectory : sitename/en sitename/fr sitename/es and they want their website to be well placed on the web for all that languages and countries: English, French, Spanish, German and Italian. It is a website for specific affiliation, that's why there is no barriers. What I need to do to use the best way SEOmoz. For the moment I created one campaign following Google US, google Germany and Google France. To go deeper, I would need to create different campaigns in my account? And also, your robot will be able to recognize the different subdirectories and languages? And to improve the SEO of this website, it wouldn't be better to have 3 domains name, one for each country? Thanks a lot in advance for your answer, Anne
