Is it possible to have news from two sites going into one wordpress site

Hi, i would like to know if it is possible to write original content on news on one site and then have it appear on two other sites as an introduction.
I am using wordpress so i am very knew to it as i normally use joomla. I am looking for a rss feed that will show the image and allow the intro articles to appear in a category of its own, for example, other news
any help would be great

Given that WP 'o Matic was updated less than a month ago and is getting over 1500 downloads a week, I'd say it's still a viable plugin, Tim.
Setting up a system to import one site's feed as posts in another site is going to take very careful setup and coding of both the outgoing feed and the import process - not a trivial undertaking by any means. (As I implied in my original answer)
Simply having a widget pull in and display an RSS feed is definitely a vastly simpler process and there are many plugins out there for that.

Wp o matic is now out of date and is not being worked on. It is a good widget but it is not showing images and feedwordpress caused us nothing but problems, so i am trying to find a rss widget for wordpress where i can have travel news on one site and then allow it to be displayed on two other sites to go with the other articles.

thank you for this. will doing this affect my seo. what i am thinking of is, i want to be able to put news onto one site and then share it with two other sites as a snipet. so two other sites which will have all of its original content will also see snipets of news to go and view

A Google search for "create new posts from rss feed in WordPress" will give you quite a few options, Tim (since this is more a technical WordPress question than an SEO question)
Two plugins in particular to have a look at are WP 'o Matic and FeedWordPress.
This will be a double-ended process. You'll need to configure a feed specifically for the news posts on the originating site, then configure the plugin on the two receiving sites to parse just the excerpt and and image and add them as posts to a specified category.

Hi, I run a small business writing optimised content for small businesses in Melbourne. I want to add a Glossary page to my website that lists all of the different words associated with website marketing and SEO. I found the Moz glossary and I am wondering if it would be a bad idea to copy and paste the list straight into a page on my site. I'd prefer to not have to reword all of the descriptions as it will take me ages and I don't want to compromise the information in the descriptions. **I received this email from a lady who wishes to write articles and post them on my site under my news section . Ok, if its quality I dont mind hiring somebody to create a post. Her proposal is as follows and this is her email :-**Basically what I can offer is to write a couple of articles for your News section, something fun and interesting for your visitors which will hopefully drag some traffic your way. I could make them well suited to your site and I could include in each a link to a client of mine - one who wants to be exposed on a good site like yours - and for doing that I can offer you compensation of £33 for each client link - 1 per article. For example, one client is Watches of Switzerland, so I could write an article about ideal wedding gifts for a groom maybe, or something about a perfect Honeymoon destination like Switzerland, and slip a link in there. Other clients include Weddingsite and Lampcommerce - which could be included in something about making a matrimonial home. There are a few stipulations I would need to abide by, like - the article would need to be 500 words, it would need the link to be a 'do follow' link, it would need a picture or two, and it would need a couple of 'sacrifice links' (just links to Wikipedia or something to make it more Google friendly). Why do other sites rank higher for our blog content?
Our site has always allowed other sites to RSS feed our content. Recently, we've noticed that searches for a title of our blog post will rank 2 sites that only publish said content, while our links are nowhere to be seen on the SERPs for Google. Is there any way I can fix this or prod Google to adjust it for us? Background: We were ranked highly in many long tail keywords, but lost many of them in June 2013. During this time going forward, we received no manual action.

How do I properly sitemap a site with static pages + Wordpress in it's own directory?
I apologize for the awkward wording in the headline. No to the issue, I have a site with static pages that are created as follows: url.com, url.com/page1, url.com/page2, etc. I then have WordPress install at url.com/blog. What is the proper method for creating a comprehensive sitemap for my entire domain. I like the sitemap feature provided by Yoast SEO plugin but I assume it will only index the wordpress directory (url.com/blog). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Too many articles within ecommerce site?
So recently purchased an ecommerce site to work on with lots of potential. The site was effected by Penguin update and now I am trying to fix up some issues. One of the problems I think may be the articles that he had written within the site. The site is an ecommerce site but has lots of articles like how to's and tips. A lot of these articles are not very fluent but seems to be written for SEO. Should I just remove them entirely or should I just stuff them in the back somewhere.
