Identifying members on Twitter
-
We are a member based company. Membership is by business not individual. So for instance if your widget business is a member anyone with a johndoe@widget.com email address can sign up and use all our content, portals, etc.
I want to take emails and figure out if they are on Twitter. I know Twitter allows you to search your contact list but this wouldn't be that. It would be a list of emails I create. Are there any tools or suggestions to do this in a efficient way besides searching each individual name on Twitter? Thanks for the help.

Hi there!
Last time I checked, Twitter didn't have an open API to allow people to search by email addresses. I guess they see this as a potential privacy / spam issue.
That means that tools such as Followerwonk aren't able to build the feature you're after.
So I think you may be out of luck on this occasion.
Perhaps a solution would be to email each of the organisations and invite them to follow you on Twitter?
Kind Regards,
Andrew

Twitter cards - one account, various domains?
Hi guys, I have a number of events run by the same company, all with their own websites. For a number of reasons, these individual events don't have their own social channels. Instead, the company's main social channels are used to promote the events wherever possible. I want to implement twitter card markup into each of the sites and associate the markup with the company's main twitter account. Does anyone know whether it's possible to get twitter cards approved for one account across multiple domains? I'd hate to apply for one site using the account, only to find out I can't apply for others! So before I venture into the unknown, was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Cheers 🙂

How do you generate followers on twitter?
Hi, How do you generate followers on twitter? I see a lot of people are saying follow others to gain more followers, use #tags and engage with other peoples tweets. But with the last point, all the tweets I find under search are spam. As an example, if you searched 'SEO' all you are going to get is lots of ' view this article' type tweets. It's almost like there is more business/spam then actual real people. Cheers

Twitter inbound link not being indexed
Hello Mozzers! I was using open site explorer to investigate inbound links to our company website and also to our competitors. The main difference being is their top links are all coming from twitter - where as ours aren't. Now our twitter account is about 10months old maybe more and it's got the standard setup with a description and the URL. We've also been tweeting with a link directly to our site. Yet no luck? Am I missing something? Thanks, Dan

Do links in Paper.li twitter round-ups help my SEO?
My twitter feed is picked up in the daily roundups like Paper.li. Do these links count towards my SEO effort or are they just empty. Clearly they spread my content so that great, just wondered if the links pass juice to the site.

I just discovered something about Addthis shares, Twitter, and rel-canonical.
Let's say I have a page on my site with the url www.mydomain.com/page1.php?id=234. Let's say it can be accessed by the url www.mydomain.com/page-this-is-a-keyword-rich-url And let's say that the second example is what I have set as my rel-canonical. I wondered what would happen when people submitted the non-canonical url to twitter. We know that Twitter shares count for something in SEO. I didn't want things to go to waste if people were landing on my short urls and sharing them on Twitter. Well, tonight, I shared one of my own urls on Twitter. I was accidentally on the short one (not the canonical), but when I shared it via addthis the long one was shared. So, Addthis must read the canonical and use this to share. Very cool. At least to me. I may possibly be the only person on the planet that understands what I just wrote, but this is a neat discovery for me.
