Followed links from one of our biggest channel?
-
Hi everyone,
I have a new client that's a huge company and has a disastrous ranking. It's a Human Resources company that among other things, they post job offers on their site in which people have to register to apply.
As a channel to outreach more people, they are using a popular site for job offers on the country. There, the job position is described and they tell users to apply within this channel or on their own site. But there's no actual link to their site.
Will Google find it spammy to post their site's link for that specific job offer on this channel on every job description? No competitor is doing it so it made me doubt a little bit.
NOTE: The job offer channel doesn't allow us to "nofollow" a link. All the links are followed.
Thanks to any suggestion.

Thanks for your suggestion Oleg. I'll try your G+ idea and see how it works out.
Cheers.

That could work too. Something along the lines of "View more jobs at www.site.com" (basically, don't use money/keyword anchor text)
Here's another idea - when you post a new job on your site, post it to your company's google plus business page as well (and/or personal). G+ links are almost instantly crawled so you can post to the other job site right afterwards.

Thanks for the answer Oleg.
I thought it was a little bit silly too. But since the links aren't being "naturally" build it made me hesitate.
It's difficult to get those links indexed first in our site since some job offers can last just 2 weeks and we need to quickly make outreach to comply with clients.
What if, instead of posting my site's specific job offer link I post my home page?

If it isn't against the TOS of the site you are posting on, it'd be silly not to link back to your site. One thing I recommend is that you have different content on the page or make sure you post the job offer to your site first, get it indexed, then post it on the other jobs site with a link back.

Paid-for featured article on dailymail.co.uk with follow links
Hey Mozzers, Our PR team are paying for a featured article on dailymail.co.uk to increase brand visibility and coverage on a high traffic website. The article, however, is fairly thin content, and it has a couple of follow links back to our own site. From an SEO point of view, how do you feel about this?

No follow external links
Hi all, Our blog utilizes a fair amount of guest blog articles. Each article includes a link to the authors site. Some memebers of our team believe it is best practice to no follow all of these links while others believe we should follow the links, Our page rank and domain authority are almost always much higher then the guest blogger's site so we want to know the pros and cons of nofollow vs follow of these links. Since the domain authority and page rank of guest blog sites are low will this have a negative effect on our site? They aren't spammy and are legitimate sites covering similar content. Any feedback would be greaty appreciated!

Manual Links Vs. Smart Links
Hey Everybody, Is there any downside to the smart link plugins that I see all over wordpress? Basically in short I enter a keyword and where I want that link to go (primarily internal) and set the parameters of repetition etc and it automatically adds the link to that. Now other than the obvious situation where it might put a link in an awkward place, is there anything wrong with this sort of software? Part of me things that this sort of software would not be liked by Google, and that it isn't really getting counted as a true link, but i wanted to see if there were other thoughts or experience with this.

Link over-building?
Hello all. One of the first things we do for our clients is to claim their local listings, include them on a set of selected directories (8-10), and blog directories (5), if applicable. Since they will all be linked to the client site, could doing all of this at once run us into problems with unnatural link growth? Thanks! Frank
