Facebook Promoted posts
-
I have been promoting posts on our Facebook page with some good results. Am I aable to determine the Day /time the post is promoted? As ideally we want to be promoting the post when people are awake? Thanks for your help

Hardley111,
Mike Roberts mentioned a section when your friends are online. Check to see if they go hand in hand with your findings as to when people are online and click.
I am not sure, maybe others can fill in as to setup when promoted posts are run from FB's side. You do have the option to manually pause each post. If your assumption is valid, you can post when your audience is online and pause the promoted post when you feel satisfied with the reach. Otherwise it will continue for a day. Testing is a key here
Hope this helps

Promoting a post technically boosts it for an entire day now (used to be 3 days). So you'll reach your fans with a Sponsored post whenever they happen to log on in that 24 hour period and look at their Newsfeed. Same goes for if you're using the targeting feature to reach the friends of fans or if you're using one of the other targeting features likes location, age, gender, etc.
If you want a better idea of what time your fans are online, the updated Facebook Insights for a page now shows a graph of what times of day your page's fans tend to be online. If you have the new Page Insights, click into insights then go to Posts and there will be a section called "When Your Fans Are Online".

Hi Vadim sorry I should have provided a bit more info. We promoted an existing post and had a budget of $30 . The post consited of clicking a link to our site to win some beauty products, With the goal being to increase our data base as people need to sign up when the enter the competition
What i found is that , with Facebook staggering the boost, we spent $25 in one go and got 73 clicks. When they spent the remaining budget of $5 we got 52 clicks which seems proportionality high in comparison. (we targeted non fans who are demographically similar to our fans, as most of our fans are currently on the DB)
I was wondering why there was such a difference across the boost and put it down to people not being logged in as they are either asleep or at work at the time the post was 'boosted',. Hence Id like to time prescisely when i promote a post and was wondering if anyone knows how to do this?

Are you able to give a few pointers on your strategy for using promoted posts? This is something I am interested in, but never really got into it.

https://bufferapp.com/app analyzes the best time to post a post after analyzing most active time of your followers. You auto schedule a post and then once its live you promote the post for an extra boost.
Hope this helps!

How do I remove 11,000 spam facebook page likes received overnight complete with negative ratings/reviews?
My page has 11,000 spammed page likes. Only 250 are legitimate. These spammers are leaving 1 star ratings. Facebook is limiting the number of likes I can delete. I can report some fake ratings as spam but, again, facebook is limiting what I see. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Update: I found a work around for the negative ratings/reviews. I can change the category of my page to "other community" to remove the rating system from the page https://www.facebook.com/changeratings/posts/445471405558046. That still leaves me with 11,000 illegitimate likes that are stealing away from my 250 legitimate fans from seeing our posts. Should I start over?

Facebook 'SEO', Likes and Fans
I spent a bit of time this morning combing Google looking for some documentation on SEO for Facebook, specifically the value of 'likes', when liking one's status, how that effects the visibility of a given post and basically the criteria for creating whatever they deem a post to have gone 'viral'. I'm convinced there has to be some answers for my first two questions... ....somewhere. Likewise, I can appreciate if there's nothing available to answer my third question pertaining to 'viral criteria'. Nevertheless, if anyone has any resources/documentation that could provide me some insight into how FB interprets 'likes', how an increased number of 'likes' may lead to greater visibility and (more or less) the mechanics of how this interacts with the entire Facebook structure, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading, I look forward to the responses!

How do you guestimate facebook brand searches?
Buongiorno from Weherby Uk 🙂 With brands all clamouring to get a stake in Facebook I wonder how many people actually search for brands on facebook. For example www.evian.com promote their facebook page on their bottles but how could you work out how many searches are entered in the facebook search box for evian as illustrated here:http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/facebook-search-volumes.jpg So my question is please: "How do you work out search volumes for search entries via facebook"? Thanks in advance 🙂

Crawlable Facebook Comments
A lot of blogs are beginning to use facebook comments. I came across a WordPress plugin called "Crawlable Facebook Comments". The plugin makes a text version of your iframe comments visible to googlebot. You can see how it works at: http://www.zewlak.com/crawlable-facebook-comments/ Is there really any utility to this seo-wise? Comment content is normally not optimized and you will end up linking to a bunch of facebook profiles. What do you folks think?

Is facebook and twitter always a good idea to promote a website and improve Google rankings?
I'm attempting to promote a fresh seafood market / restaurant here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have not found a lot of examples of people using Twitter and Facebook to promote this type of business here. Is it hard to justify the time for return here? One benefit I thought for twitter is we could have tweets displayed on site giving us some dynamic content which would hopefully keep Google spider coming back more regularly is this correct? Is there any link building advantage to using these social media sites?
