Best way to structure a new company blog with multiple existing individual country sites?
-
Hi, we have a client who have multiple business websites .co.nz, .com.au, .co.uk, .com which all have unique content intending to rank in each country. These sites are on a CMS that has a blog function capability.
Should we set up the blog on one of these country sites then link to other sites when appropriate?
OR
Is it best to set up a new blog on something like Wordpress (or what?) that takes all blog posts from all countries and then links out to the relevant sites when appropriate. So the new blog becomes the content hub and creates its own Google power to then pass when appropriate to the various country sites?
Any suggestions welcome especially from people who are currently doing either of these methods, and have experienced the results both positive and negative of the different approaches.
NB: there will be about 20 staff creating a blog post on a topic relevant to them per month each once blog is live.

I'd be inclined to suggest individual blogs on individual domains. Doing this will allow each blog to cater to that countries specific market and better engage your audience. Let's face it, something that is of interest to some in New Zealand is not necessarily of interest to a UK-based market.
Let me know if you disagree and we can discuss further.

My big and famous website is ranking worse than unknown sites, what to do?
I have a major, popular and well-established website in my niche (lil peep merch) (lilpeepmerch.net) in my country, known as the largest, or one of the largest. But even with 12 years and loads of quality content, my website ranks WAAY worse than unknown ones, most of the time not even showing up on the searches at all, or ranking like page 7 in Google, while my rival, who does the same thing I do (and sometimes worse than what I do, like just publishing news when I publish news, and information, in-depth articles) ranks page 1 in Goo. I use Yoast SEO, try to do everything I can (but I'm no developer and have no access to my site codes), but my only good result is for one specific keyword.

Standardising of Company Name Across The Web Question
Good Morning All There are two variations of our company name on the website. Sometimes the name is listed as "name and name" and sometimes listed as "name & name" The domain is obviously www.nameandname.co.uk I believe I am correct in saying that we would be wise to go through and standardise, using one form or the other? Secondly, my main question is would we be wise to use "name and name" as the default, as the word "and" and not the symbol "&" is in the domain itself? Many Thanks

When products are discontinued- best way to handle pinned or googled images
What do you lose by deleting a product and it's images from an e-commerce site? We have many product images with pinterest pins and shares or that show up on google images searches. Our site is an active American craft gallery with jewelry, art and handmade gifts from about 300 different artists. Most products are made in small quantities others are 1 of a kind. So we often have products selling out. Most items are organized by artist. Are there good practices to follow that will best keep our social media presence and links? I'd also like to stop buying extra space for all those images on my server Thanks so much Stephen

New domain for new branding
We are considering taking a redirect off and have our 20 yr old website go to our new name/brand 1yr old website. (junonia.com to junoactive.com) is there a checklist or template to follow when doing this? I need to get this completed with as little ramifications as possible. Help!? I did see the whiteboard friday concerning this and was hoping there was some more info or advice I could get to prepare everyone for what would happen and make sure I am getting it done right.

Enhancing SEO Between WordPress Blog and Company Website
My company has recently launched a new and improved website within the last couple months. Unfortunately, the web developers that we'd hired to build and create the site work very little with SEO, thus leaving me in the dark on where to direct any questions regarding the optimization of our web content. Along with the new website design, we've also rolled out a WordPress blog related to our firm. We do have the blog embedded onto a page of our website, and clicking on any title will redirect the viewer to our WordPress blog, hosted separately from our website. My question is this--how do you suggest I drive viewers from our blog to our website, rather than vice versa? Are there any applications, widgets, etc that you could recommend that would help me better associate the blog with our company? Any advice would help. Thanks!

Are there any legitimate ways to do press releases?
In the past month, we won a "Small Business of the Year" Award and the managing partner is up for "BusinessWoman of the Year Award" for the greater Tampa area. I would like to send out two press releases, because I think these are appropriate uses of press releases. However, I'm nervous because I don't really know what all the implications of using press releases are. I don't want us to get hurt or flagged as doing something spammy. I also don't know which company to go through if they are still a good idea. PRWeb looks good to me, but then again, I don't really know. Any thoughts on either aspect of this question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ruben

Are there any companies out there that can do Search Retargeting on a local level? I'd like to target a Metro area, or even a large city.
