Critical Page Problems.
-
As I design my new pages I place them into the page optimizer. When I place the keyword in that I am trying to rank for my page is coming up as an A. With that said, I am still receiving error messages with critical fix results. Here is a screenshot of this: http://screencast.com/t/DuUrP8xM
Curious on how I should fix this? The pages are directly on my blog which makes it accessible to search engines ( So I think). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I agree that the critical indicates the importance of the factor and that the green check mark indicates the line item's completion.

Hiya. The "critical" in the screen shot is used to indicate the importance of the on-page factor. It's not a judgement of your optimisation for that factor. (You've got a green tick next to the items so you're ok.)
In the screenshot, the only factor that requires attention is the "Broad Usage in Page Title". which is rated as an "easy fix" and doesn't have the green tick next to it.
Hope that helps clear up any confusion?

What would you do about this Pillar Page conundrum?
I am re-organizing site structure for an e-commerce site. Here's the problem I have: The product (shipping container) is available to BUY and HIRE in four sizes, for example a 20ft container is one of them. Now, should I have a 20ft container product page for buying -- and also a 20ft container for hiring? I want the container sales and seperate container hire page to be pillar pages, if I don't have any cluster pages for the different container sizes below them it I'm worried it'll just be floating out there in the ocean while the sales page gets all the cluster love. At the same time I don't want to have something that looks like duplicate content with 20ft hire and 20ft sale page. Any ideas please?

Google Authorship Problems
Hi, I seem to be having a few problems with getting google authors set up on Wordpress. I've set up my G+ account, put the link to my blog http://appointedd.com/blog/ and then registered it on the yoast plugin. However, I'm not sure it's set up correctly and I can't seem to be able to get it to work. I'm hoping a fine someone here has experience in this as I'm a little flustered. thanks.

Category listing page coming above product pages
A new SEO client we have taken on seem to be hitting most of the points right on with their site and SEO. However one thing that is bugging me is that their category pages i.e. "Footwear" which title tag includes the brands they stock. Is almost always coming up above (if they are ever even found) the product individual pages. Anyone seen this sort of things happening? Very frustrating.

Home page keyword effecting internal page ranking
Hello, My client has a second keyword for the home page that is competitive. The home page is not being ranked for this keyword. Instead, an internal category page is ranking. This internal category page is more relevant than the home page - it shows the categories for the actual products that this term refers to. But everyone around us in Google's page results has far more backlinks than the internal page, and we're all heavily optimized for this term. My question is, is it safe to pull the second term off of the home page or is this internal page strong because it is somehow being strengthened by the home page optimization?

Page title
So if we have a main category page on our site (mines an ecommerce site), do we go for more than that main keyword phrase for that category of products, or is it better to just keep it by itself, and not utilize the 65-70 characters available?
