Is there a crowd-sourced and up-to-date list of do-follow social bookmarking sites?
-
It's always frustrating to do a search for something like "do-follow social bookmarking sites", find a list and then find out through trial/error that many of them have switched to no-follow, are no longer around, etc.
That's why I thought a crowd-sourced list might be more interesting and up-to-date. Any thoughts?

There is http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/22-dofollow-social-media-sites-offering-profile-links.html which has updates provided in the comments.
SEOMoz also provides a good resource at: http://www.seomoz.org/article/social-media-marketing-tactics#101-social-media-sites
Both of these are mentioned in the book The Art of SEO

... oh... now, that's the list I want my competitor to be on... let's start a list!
-
Sorry, I don't have any ideas for you. My experience (being a moderator of a site that gets on one of those lists) with those lists is that they're outdated or incorrect when published, or that the sites that are on those list make the comments/submissions nofollow because they're tired of being spammed because they are on those lists.
-
I don't disagree with the sentiment but have never actually had any trouble with this. For these types of subpages/landing pages, I don't need thousands of links to rank well -- generally a limited number with the right anchor text.
Any ideas on a crowsourced or up-to-date list or does this not seem to exist?
-
Taking one step back, realize that a site (or a specific set of pages) that has all or almost all links without a nofollow attribute isn't showing a normal link profile. Normal sites will get a mix of inlinks that are followed and nofollowed, so you don't want to stick out that way.

In my opinion, the way to use social media is to produce best-on-the-web content and then introduce it to sites like slashdot, reddit, stumbleupon and let the crowd there decide if it is worthy. If you have really good content it will bring a lot of traffic from those sites and that traffic will produce a lot of links, likes, tweets and bookmrks without any effort from you. The difficulty is producing the right type of content.
The problem with bookmarking is that thousands of webmasters each have a very large number of products and each want a very large number of bookmark links into them. That makes those links worthless.

Well I'm open to other suggestions but I see social bookmarking as one of the few ways to get anchor-specific links to a wide variety of subpages.
My situation is that I have created several dozen landing pages for specific keywords. To get these to rank really well, I need those types of links. Because they are primarily landing pages, it's unlikely that they are going to generate many natural links. And with several dozen of them, I need a process that's easily repeatable and social bookmarking seems like a reasonable part of that process. Other ideas?

I think that it would do me more good if we sent it to my competitor.
I don't think that doing social bookmarking for links is a profitable use of time.

Paginated List Links
In a rel=prev rel=next set of paginated pages. Is there a benefit to have prev and next links in addition to the numbered links on the page. Or will the numbered links suffice? Any help would be most welcome.

Redirecting broken backlink to my site
Hello guys, I found an expired domain with inbound links from 41 different root domains, almost all of them from relevant sources. I have 2 ideas in my mind: A) I am thinking about buying this expired domain and place a 301 redirect to a post in my blog who talks about a similar subject.Relevance: let's say the content of the expired domain is about "horses wallpapers" and the content of my site is about "horse transport". Not the same, but a post in my blog could talk about "top 10 horse wallpapers". Do you see what I mean? B) Contact all the webmasters with broken links, alert them and expect they are nice and place a nice link to the post in my blog talking about "top 10 horse wallpapers". What do you think? Should I take A or B? Any other idea? I added a picture with the Domain Rank of the broken links 🙂 Thanks a lot !!! Luis V1LZBC3

How do I find links that link to several competitor sites?
I want to find linking pages that link to several of my competitors. Those are likely to be lists of tools I can also add my website to. My application is a dashboard tool/kanban board. So if I find a page linking both to say kanbannery.com and kanbanflow.com it will be likely to be a collection of links to kanban tools, ad my application can be relatively easy added. Magestic SEO has a "clique hunter" - is there anything similar in MOZ suite of tools?

Backlink Lists
I am trying to create a valid list of backlink domain to disavow after a 50% traffic cut by Penguin......problem is I have now pulled lists from 4 tool and the lists are all different. I find a toxic domain from the tool run on LinkResearchTools and look on Google and Site Explorer and the toxic link does not even show. I look at the page and sure enough the link from year ago on a link farm is there. Is there really a rue definitive tool that will give me a list of all links? Better yet is there a tool that will help me evaluate which domain to disavow ? I want to follow Dr. Pete's advice and go slow but I am also anxious to cut ties with SEO work done by someone else in the hay day of link farm SEO and frankly looking at resent links some Bad SEO by competitors.

Building backlinks for a newspaper site?
Anyone have tips on building links to a newspaper site? I am looking for a strategy to create links to a news site beyond building one link at a time. We have so much content that is constantly updated that it would be impossible to do this one page at a time.

How to target keywords on a new site?
I have a site I launched a few months back, and the niche isn't all that competitive. After a bit of work the domain is now sitting near the bottom of page 2 on google but it's number 2 in yahoo search. I have been manually building the links but they are all targeted to just one keyword, and mainly have the same link text. Will this look suspicious to google, and should I be spreading my anchor text over different keywords? Or is the reason Im ranking so well in yahoo be because they are just picking up more backlinks? 23 from yahoo but only 9 from google.
