How to classify backlinks types

I don't know how to classify backlinks types. Any kind of software can process those backlinks? Thank you.

Does Compete.com do that? I've never used them, but I know they offer competitive metrics. Traffic Travis does some link breakdowns, but it doesn't have a report exactly like that. It will tell you:
- Backlink URL
- Page authority
- Alexa Rank
- The number of urls the page links to
- Whether the page is indexed
- Follow/no-follow
- Anchor text
- IP address
- TLD (.com, .gov, .edu, and so on)
RavenTools also has a really cool link manager. However, I'm not sure whether or not you can use this on competitors' sites.
You may also be able to accomplish this in a moderately automated fashion with a combination of Excel and Majestic SEO. You could identify a lot of blog links, for instance.

As you said, I use opensiteexploer to get thousands of competitor's backlink, I want break down these link to specific types like the picture. Before LinkDetective can go, but now this site can't work. So i'm looking for other software that's similar to linkdetective. Do you know anything？

In general, Open Site Explorer, aHrefs, and Screaming Frog are excellent tools for exploring a site's back link profile. What characteristics would you like to use to classify backlinks? That is, what do specifically mean by backlink "types", and what are you hoping to accomplish?

Is there any BAD SEO implications to acquiring backlinks from customers?
What would be the negative aspects to sending customer's requests for a backlink in conjunction with asking how their experience with us was? Backlinks are one of the toughest for our niche industry to acquire and this seems like one of the best angles to cover, since we have .edu , .mil , .gov , and many bigname companies making purchases from us. Would if be wrong to offer a small 5% discount during their next purchase if they create a backlink with us? Or if we added a " Customer's we've served " section including their logo or text link? Best way to build backlinks
Hey guys, I was wondering what is the best way to build back links ? I have all the read moz's articles regarding this and I know the crucial parts are creating content, engaging users via social media etc. What I am interested in knowing is whether guest posting is still a solution to create that domain authority you need to rank ? I've spoken with some people that told me guest posting is out of date and will not pay off using it. By using guest posting of course I relate to creating unique content and valuable to the user. Best Name for Business and Backlinks / SEO
Sorry if this is a basic question I should know the answer for. We have just acquired the .org for a moderately well searched keyword set. Our objective is to fight for rank specifically on this one set of two keywords. We want make sure our site is setup and business named optimally for this. Here is my question. What is the best business name for SEO and keyword rich backlinks, or anything else I'm not thinking of? KEYWORDS: Blue Widget DOMAIN: BlueWidget.org BUSINESS NAME OPTIONS: A) simply BlueWidget.org. We like this but do we lose some benefit of "Blue Widget" with a space on backlinks? **B) Blue Widget Foundation. Is this better because people will reference us by the keywords with a space "The Blue Widget Foundation", instead of "from the people at BLUEWIDGET.org"? ** Am I missing anything important here in the name? We just want to start everything off on the right foot. Thank you Moz. Just joined and my first post.

I know its a silly question. but how do i get the best backlinks.
I am new to seo. Every where i see seo people are talking about nearly all the links are bad. I have read everything but cant seem to figure out how to get good backlinks. And what kind of backlinks will actually help my site. I used blackhat stuff in past that really made my life miserable. if you know what i mean. can someone guide me personaly 😛 . Do backlinks take effect as soon as they are crawled?
i have got 3 really good backlinks to a site of mine in the last month, however they have had no obvious effect yet. they are dofollow, all from county council websites, and I can see the backlinks in webmaster tools. does this mean that their seo affect has already been applied?

Backlink reports in OSE, the good and the bad!
Hi all Mozers, I have a couple of questions re the backlink reports in Open Site Explorer. In the introductory video Rand suggests that you can indentify backlinks that are a) Having a positive effect, and b) Having a negative effect on SEO campaigns. Do you identify such links using the domain/page authority of the linking page? Also, we know we have more links than OSE is reporting, does this mean that the links that are not reported are not helping our SEO campaign? Many thanks in advance, much appreciated. Lee

How Many Backlinks Per Day
I am starting to do some manual back-linking for a medium competition word with high traffic. I plan to start back linking with like niche blogs with non spam comments, like niche directories, like niche forums, and guest blogging. My domain is over 3 years old and ranks for multiple keywords, but I'm going to concentrate specifically on this keyword, but need to know how many links to back-link a day. Again none of these will be spam, but will be of real quality. I was thinking 10-20 a day, but unsure.
