Does adding a backlink in google plus comments work?
-
Hi guys,
Can anybody tell me if adding a backlink in Google plus comments achieve anything?
-
As others have said, this will achieve nothing. However, there is a good way to use Google+ with new posts, and that is to optimise the first 35-50 characters as you would a blog post or other page you are trying to optimise. The reason being, that first part then becomes the page title for that particular post.

For SEO it does not help at all.
It is far easier (and can get add SEO value) to create your own new post on google plus. Perhaps you can share the original post and add your own summary with a link. So you are helping it spread and at the same time creating a new post.
From usability perspective if your comment is really useful and relevant to user you will get direct referral traffic. But if it is not relevant you are essentially spamming
-
One thing it is helpful for is getting things indexed a bit quicker, don't expect it to help you rank though unless you are lucky enough to have a good social gathering and are getting good click through rates etc. Generally any kind of comment link isn't really good.

You know link building via comments is not really appreciated by google right https://www.seroundtable.com/link-comment-spamming-12856.html.
other ways google+ and other social mentions are a important factor. but really link building is not going to work this way. For starters everything is nofollowed. Second these selve created links aren't organic and thus powerfull links at all. and second i dont see much of links getting greatly indexed.
Its a great way of building awareness when doing it relevant and adding value with your comments and links and that way create more exposure for your content but directly link-building the good way. no a smart idea
Cheers!

Only add a backlink if it adds value to the user / article. Do not add a bunch of comment backlinks thinking it will help you rank in the SERPs.
For example, you find an article that helped you do X. Write an article expanding on X to XYZ. Then link back to your new article from the old articles comments about how you were inspired by the original article and added more to X.
Hopefully, your new content adds enough value that the original article author uses it as a source and/or the original article readers find your new article and maybe link to that from their blogs too.

How much time does it takes for a backlink to get registered in Google? My basketball anime website has been live since start of this week and Google has not registered any backlink.
So my website https://www.animedhfa.com/basketball-anime/ about basketball Anime has shown no changes in DA or backlinks. It has been 5 days perhaps since it went live.

Backlinks on sites that aren't relevant, how does google determine relevancy?
I have a competitor who I've talked about on here before about how they passed us in ranking for our main keywords and that they were a new site ( less than 6 months old ). Well after further digging a few things were found out: Our site seems to have a penguin penalty causing our keywords ( a group of synonyms as well ) from ranking better than rank 30. As well our competitor has been using this weird backlink tactic of using SEO sites ( a friend? ), a parent site to prop it up ( footer links and others ) as well has links inside articles that aren't relevant as in having a commercial niche page inside a lawyer site page talking about phone dialing. Then the low DA directory sites. I'm curious as to if penguin algo will catch them once it comes out, if not penguin a manual review would certainly catch their tactics, but this site is doing everything else other than proper SEO. What do you think?

PR1 and PR2 backlinks
We're doing some content marketing. I've heard that it is a good idea to target even PR1 and PR2 sites (small DA sites). I'm concerned about these sites disappearing after a few months, as we've found that losing a backlink can sting a bit and be worse than never having it. Though this isn't as big a deal any more. Anyways, can somebody say when a PR1/PR2 backlink would be appropriate to go after? Some of them would be easy and if it's appropriate I'd like to include them. So far they would only pass our standards if they are Above PR0 Look like a white hat, quality site from the outside Have a clean backlink profile Look like they're going to stick around Successful Social Media Accounts a plus What are you guys' criteria for including these sites? Do you gain value from them?

We understand that links are still required to your site in order for it to rank well, but what is the best method of now obtaining those?

Outsourced Backlinking?
Hello, I've been newly hired to head up a decent sized company's digital marketing initiatives. Between social media campaigns, web content development, ppc management, etc. I've been a bit overwhelmed. It looks like until my team gets a bit larger we may have to outsource link building, but with the new penguin update I'm worried about choosing the wrong company and ending up with a ton of spam links that gets us nailed. Does anyone happen to have any good recommendations? Thanks!

Backlink from different niche
Hi, i have a question. For example, we have a website domain.IT / italy. in italian language. But, we are contracted to do link building, to down it in italy, its not easy for us, but we have down 70% from backlinks from english websites, and 30% from italy websites in italian language. Is this any danger from google, to hire any penalty, or it's not danger but only pass link juice less! btw, i see lot of brands in italy, they have mroe than 70% of backlinks from non-italian websites. the backlinks from english websites, are editorial, press release, blogposts, best of the web directory, etc.. from maybe mroe than 80% of backlinks are frmo strong english domains. danger, or not? tell me your answer if have experience on this please. thanks
