Hi,
You've worked really hard at putting together a business, a site and now a plan. When I read your list, I was left asking "Why?"
What drove the decision to distribute one press release per month? Is it for a tangible reason? For example, so you release a brand new product every month? If so, then okay, there's a business reason for that frequency and that goal. But if not, Why once a month? Is it because you think that's somehow going to get you attention in the search engines?
My same question/challenge transfers to everything else in your plan, You mention Web 2.0 submission Web at Squdoo, Hubpage , Tumblr , Blogspot , WordPress. Why those? What made you choose those? Was it driven by data that tells you that your users are hanging out in those places? Or was it driven by what you think Google is going to reward in the SERPs.
I'd personally revisit every item in the plan and determine whether or not there's data to support that decision, if not, move on and find some other way, some other place to promote that's directly relevant to your particular business.
A linkbuilding plan shouldn't be arbitrary. It needs to be intentional. Just my humble opinion. The days of a formulaic/quantity driven approach to link building are long, long gone.
Cheers,
Dana

I would add helpful articles / resources.
This could be the following: blog posts (weekly), infographics, videos, and pictures.
Think about adding content that would be helpful to users looking for content AROUND your industry. Therefore, you begin establishing your business as a resource. I would take that content and internally link to a product / service page.
This guide is AWESOME for everyone (not just beginners): http://moz.com/blog/the-noob-guide-to-link-building
I hope this helps,

Definitely don't forget creating a Youtube channel and updating the videos on your site to be embedded from Youtube. This is huge link juice. Pinterest as well.

Hi,
Add to the list :
- Classifieds listing
- Social Media Activity ( Making and maintaining accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc.)
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Question about reciprocal link building. I'm not an SEO professional, just a local service business owner.
I did a link page on my website 13 years ago and never took it down. Should we scratch that page all together? Is it ok with Google to do a page on Recommended local service providers. Maybe I can keep some of those reciprocal links if that's the case...

Question concerning a freelance article link
Hey fellow Mozzers,
Link Building | | MountainMedia
I was performing a link audit for a client and came across a link linking to a deep page for our client with the link being anchored to a targeted keyword. It's a freelance article that is well written and deals with our client's industry but indirectly. The page has no PR but decent PA and DA. My question is, is there the possibility that Penguin would consider it spammy? The link is located in the author tagline at the bottom of the article. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!0 -
A few questions I need help with and would appreciate any help.
I am currently building links to our website via estalished blogs ect (2+ years old), As far as I understand even if they are unrelated to what we do (print) as long as the post is about print the link should offer some value is this correct? Other questions I have which I would greatly appreciate advice in are as follows........ (1) Do charity websites or company websites with link pages ( about5-10 other links) or links / logo's on the front page offer value even on unrelated sites? (2) What happens if 80% of the link building I am doing comes from blogs? (3) If I have links that are clearly spam that have been built to our site can they be damaging our potential to rank and how can I remove them as I have tried to contact the relevant parties but fear pressing the button on the google tool may harm our site should I? (4) If I have a page that genuinely has a lot of mentions of a keyword (not so much the money keyword but part such as wanting to rank for pool table but end up with the different versions of keywords having table mentioned 5 - 10% of the time). Thank you for your time.

Reciprocal Link URL Question
I've been analyzing my competition and found some great directories with High DAs that require the Reciprocal code to be on the same domain as the submitted link . When I went to my competitor's website, the reciprocal link is not there. Does he/she put the link on their page, than have directory verify the code, and then remove the link? If anyone fully understands how this works, please let me know.

Linkbuilding for Clients? Do I create new email account for outreach?
Hey Guys, So in the past when I would build links for a client I would create a new email account or have them create a new email account for their website which I can use for email outreach for building links. Also I would try to use their twitter user accounts to get in contact with other niche bloggers for a potential link back or a social mention. Is this how you guys suggest I should continue going about building links for a client? Or do you suggest using my email (agency email) or a random gmail account for email outreach? Thanks

Linkbuilding - Suspicious? Seems like they still help!
I know we should be careful of suspicious links, and that google may davalue them or even penalize, especiallysince the latest update. It seems though, however it really hasnt caught up to alot of them yet. And alot of competition is still benefitting from what seems like all garbage links in their backlink profile So could someone give their opinion about links form pages like this, assuming it is a mix of this along with other "better" types of links? http://www.bmxplusmag.com/index.php/member/4817/ See the bio at the bottom. "At least" it is within copy, and only one link to the page? (Please do not reply with a simple "be careful" message) Also, does anyone have any update, on the benefit of TextLinkAds, since the recent algo update? Thanks Sam
