Page Authority vs Domain Authority for Inbound Links
-
When executed correctly, earning links from high authority sites that are relevant to my website's industry are still valuable correct? So I want to know what is more valuable to my site and influencing the ranking of my site? Is it better to gain links that have a high page authority or domain authority? What is more valuable to my site and influencing its ranking?

On a given website, it is better to get links from the higher PA pages (all of the pages will have the same DA).
So a homepage link for example (which will usually have a higher PA than other pages on the site) will be better than a link from a deep, newly created page (which is likely have a low PA).

Hi there!
Not to sound flippant, but the answer is "both." Keep in mind that Domain Authority and Page Authority actually look at the same metrics. The difference is that Page Authority only looks at the link profile of a particular page, and Domain Authority looks at the link profile of the entire domain. Either/both will tell you whether a given page/domain is likely to be considered legitimate and trustworthy.
If you haven't, I'd recommend reading the Beginner's Guide to Link Building to get a solid understanding of what to look for.

I would focus on all links that are related to your website. Generally pages with high domain authority carry a high page authority. As long as they're not spammy, it's helping you.
Try to create content that will get people to link to you without even hunting them down!

How can I find all the outbound links from a website domain?
I want to find all the outbound links (basically whatever comes in tag) from a domain (say www.abc.com) as well as all the subdomains under it (say abc.com/a etc). Open Site Explorer provides the inbound links from a website but does not provide any functionality to get all the outbound links from a website. Is it possible to do? Thanks in advance. Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. Pursuing Links on Sites You Have a Link From
Is it a bad idea to spend resources to get a second link from a site that already links to you? It seems like the marginal value of each additional link is much smaller than the first link.

Usin Strong Inner Pages To Pass Link Juice?
Hello, Is this a common practice? Using the Open Site Explorer I can see all of my sites strongest pages. Would it be ok for me to build other pages but putting links on these stong pages? Thank YOu!

What would you do about dead inbound links?
Hey guys, I recently asked a question similar to this, but wanted to spark up a bit of a discussion around it to see what everyone's feelings were on it. The web is always changing - as we're all too aware - so links you may have obtained (by however means) let's say 2 years ago may not be 'active' now. By that I mean you may have had a link from "example_-website.com" in 2010 and now "example-_website.com" is no longer an active website - but still shows a parked domain. The thing is... this parked domain is still cropping up in OSE, suggesting that Google may still believe there's a link there - and may not have re-crawled that site to prove otherwise. The issue I've had with this is an SEO company built links to the sites I'm working on now (one of the sites has been penalised as a result of their link building). These links aren't 'active' anymore and when viewed on OSE, they just head straight to a parked domain with no visible (or in-source) link to my site. What are everyone's feelings on this? What would you all do? I'm in two minds whether to re-write a section of the website.... but I'm swaying towards creating better content and NOT re-directing the old URLs to it (just contact the decent links and ask for a change of link). Looking forward to seeing your responses and speaking to you all! Nick

Would you advise removing a "links" page?
I'm doing a site audit for someone and they have a links page full of reciprocal links for other similar businesses across the country. My gut instinct is to remove this page. How would you approach this if this was your client?

How do I know if an inbound link offers value?
Is there a way to find out if inbound links that have been pointing to my site for a year or more are still offering value to my site. I know the value decreases over time (especially press release and blog article links), but it would be nice to know how much value bring to a site.

Should I add forward slash when linking to a domain?
I'm doing some work on an ecommerce website which appears as www.domain.com/ I'm just curious about the relevance of the forward slash at the end when I'm linking to the website. Should I link to www.domain.com or www.domain.com/ or does this even matter? Thanks
