Implications of extending browser caching for Google?

I have been asked to leverage browser caching on a few scripts in our code.
- http://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id=GTM-KBQ7B5 (16 minutes 22 seconds)
- http://www.google.com/jsapi (1 hour)
- https://www.google-analytics.com/plugins/ua/linkid.js (1 hour)
- https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js (2 hours)
- https://www.youtube.com/iframe_api (expiration not specified)
- https://ssl.google-analytics.com/ga.js (2 hours)
The number beside each link is the expiration for cache applied by the owners. I'm being asked to extend the time to 24 hours. Part of this task is to make sure doing this is a good idea. It would not be in our best interest to do something that would disrupt the collection of data.
Some of what I'm seeing is recommending having a local copy which would mean missing updates from ga/gtm or call for the creation of a cron job to download any updates on a daily basis.
Another concern is would caching these have a delay/disruption in collecting data? That's an unknown to me – may not be to you.
There is also the concern that Google recommends not caching outside of their settings.
Any help on this is much appreciated.
Do you see any issues/risks/benefits/etc. to doing this from your perspective?

You wouldn't disrupt the collection of data, but you would need to run a cron job to keep updating it. It is not recommended that you store Google analytics locally & honestly it would make little difference to your speed and is more trouble than it's worth. Caching is not recommended by Google for a reason.
All though if your page speed is healthy your really have nothing to worry about. If your concern is just trying to get 100/100 on the page tests i have heard that this does the trick:

Homepage is deindexed in Google
Please help for some reason my website home page has disappeared, we have been working on the site but nothing that I can think of which would block it. There are no warnings in google console? Can anyone lend a hand in understanding what has gone wrong, I would really appreciate it. News Errors In Google Search Console
Years ago a site I'm working on was publishing news as one form of content on the site. Since then, has stopped publishing news, but still has a q&a forum, blogs, articles... all kinds of stuff. Now, it triggers "News Errors" in GWT under crawl errors. These errors are "Article disproportionately short" "Article fragmented" on some q&a forum pages "Article too long" on some longer q&a forum pages "No sentences found" Since there are thousands of these forum pages and it's problem seems to be a news critique, I'm wondering what I should do about it. It seems to be holding these non-news pages to a news standard: https://support.google.com/news/publisher/answer/40787?hl=en For instance, is there a way and would it be a good idea to get the hell out of Google News, since we don't publish news anymore? Would there be possible negatives worth considering? What's baffling is, these are not designated news urls. The ones we used to have were /news/title-of-the-story per... https://support.google.com/news/publisher/answer/2481373?hl=en&ref_topic=2481296 Or, does this really not matter and I should just blow it off as a problem. The weird thing is that we recently went from http to https and The Google News interface still has us as http and gives the option to add https, which I am reluctant to do sine we aren't really in the news business anymore. What do you think I should do? Thanks!

Google cache is showing my UK homepage site instead of the US homepage and ranking the UK site in US
Hi There, When I check the cache of the US website (www.us.allsaints.com) Google returns the UK website. This is also reflected in the US Google Search Results when the UK site ranks for our brand name instead of the US site. The homepage has hreflang tags only on the homepage and the domains have been pointed correctly to the right territories via Google Webmaster Console.This has happened before in 26th July 2015 and was wondering if any had any idea why this is happening or if any one has experienced the same issueFDGjldR

How to Get Google to Recognize Your Pages Are Gone
Here's a quick background of the site and issue. A site lost half of its traffic over 18 months ago and its believed to be a Panda penalty. Many, many items were already taken care of and crossed off the list, but here's something that was recently brought up. There are 30,000 pages indexed in Google,but there are about 12,000 active products. Many of these pages in their index are out of stock items. A site visitor cannot find them by browsing the site unless he/she had bookmarked and item before, was given the link by a friend, read about it, etc. If they get to an old product because they had a link to it, they will see an out of stock graphic and not allow to make the purchase. So, efforts have been made about 1 month ago to 301 old products to something similar, if possible, or 410 them. Google has not been removing them from the index. My question is how to make sure Google sees that these pages are no longer there and remove from the index? Some of the items have links to them and this will help Google see them, but what about the items which have 0 external / internal links? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Google not displaying meta description
Hi, one of my clients is receiving the following error in SERP - "A description of the page is not available because of this site's robots.txt". The site is built on WordPress and I realized that by default, the settings were checked to blocks bots from crawling the site. So, I turned it off, fixed robots.txt and submitted the sitemap again. Since, then it's been almost 10 days, the problem still exists. Can anyone tell me what should be done to fix it or if there's a way to get Google to recrawl the pages again.

Why is this site not indexed by Google?
Hi all and thanks for your help in advance. I've been asked to take a look at a site, http://www.yourdairygold.ie as it currently does not appear for its brand name, Your Dairygold on Google Ireland even though it's been live for a few months now. I've checked all the usual issues such as robots.txt (doesn't have one) and the robots meta tag (doesn't have them). The even stranger thing is that the site does rank on Yahoo! and Bing. Google Webmaster Tools shows that Googlebot is crawling around 150 pages a day but the total number of pages indexed is zero. It does appear if you carry out a site: search on Google however. The site is very poorly optimised in terms of title tags, unnecessary redirects etc which I'm working on now but I wondered if you guys had any further insights. Thanks again for your help.

How do I know what pages of my site is not inedexed by google ?
Hi I my Google webmaster tools under Crawl->sitemaps it shows 1117 pages submitted but 619 has been indexed. Is there any way I can fined which pages are not indexed and why? it has been like this for a while. I also have a manual action (partial) message. "Unnatural links to your site--impacts links" and under affects says "Some incoming links" is that the reason Google does not index some of my pages? Thank you Sina

Who is beating you on Google (after Penguin)?

After about a month of Penguin and 1 update, I am starting to notice an annoying pattern as to who is beating me in the rankings on google. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed this.
The sites who are beating me - almost without exception - fall into these 2 categories. 1) Super sites that have little or nothing to do with the service I am offering. Now it is not the homepages that are beating me. In almost all cases they are simply pages hidden in their forums where somebody in passing mentioned something relating to what I do. 2) Nobodies. Sites that have absolutely no links back to them, and look like they were made by a 5 year old. Has anybody else noticed this? I am just wondering if what I see only apply to my sites or if this is a pattern across the web. Does this mean that for small sites to rank, it is now all about on-page SEO? If it all about on-page, well that is great... much easier than link building. But I want to make sure others see the same thing before dedicating a lot of time to overhaul my sites and create new content.| Thanks!0
