Feedback on Content Ideation / "Skyscraper" Spreadsheet Template

Hi All -

I've been getting a ton of use out of the MOZ API for discovering the popularity of content - which I'm using for content ideation or to implement the Skyscraper concept. I built a spreadsheet template that combines MOZ with some other APIs to apply this to new topics of my choosing, and my friends encouraged me to clean it up a bit and share with the broader community. So, here it is - fire away!

I'd love any and all feedback about the spreadsheet - it's a prototype still so it could stand to pull back more results. For example: would you want to include Domain Authority in the results? Focus more or less on the social sharing elements - or let you choose the thresholds?

Would love to know if there other methodologies for which you'd be interested in seeing spreadsheet templates produced. Cheers!

I have an issue with hubspot's blog platform and duplicate content.

It is redirecting all https to http and I am unable to change it, resulting in a lot of duplicate content. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you find a solution? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

Duplicate Page Content on pages that appear to be different?

Hi Everyone! My name's Ross, and I work at CHARGED.fm. I worked with Luke, who has asked quite a few questions here, but he has since moved on to a new adventure. So I am trying to step into his role. I am very much a beginner in SEO, so I'm trying to learn a lot of this on the fly, and bear with me if this is something simple. In our latest MOZ Crawl, over 28K high priority issues were detected, and they are all Duplicate Page Content issues. However, when looking at the issues laid out, the examples that it gives for "Duplicate URLs" under each individual issue appear to be completely different pages. They have different page titles, different descriptions, etc. Here's an example. For "LPGA Tickets", it is giving 19 Duplicate URLs. Here are a couple it lists when you expand those:

http://www.charged.fm/trash-inferno-tickets
http://www.charged.fm/mylan-wtt-smash-hits-tickets
http://www.charged.fm/mickey-thomas-tickets Internally, one reason we thought this might be happening is that even though the pages themselves are different, the structure is completely similar, especially if there are no events listed or if there isn't any content in the News/About sections. We are going to try and noindex pages that don't have events/new content on them as a temporary fix, but is there possibly a different underlying issue somewhere that would cause all of these duplicate page content issues to begin appearing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tags on my website cause duplicate content

Hi I just recently started a website and I am new to MOZ pro. What Moz pro detected on my website under high priority is that "duplicate page content" and what I realize about these duplicate page content is regarding the tags i put on my post. Because it is a wordpress blog, we are allow to add tags on the side before we publish our post. And because of these tags, it linked to the same page but different url. for example website.com/tags/whatever website.com/tags/whatever 2 and both these url direct to the same page So how do i solve this? do i just stop tagging whenever i write a post? delete all tags while it is not necessary? i seen method like 301 redirect or rel=canonical but is there anyway to solve this problem so I do not face this issue whenever i make a new post in my blog? I mean it doesnt make sense to redirect 301 to every single tags i have whenever i write a new post right? thanks guys

"On-Page Report Card"- why is still showing " F grade" after introducing the keyword in page and title.

Hello, "On-Page Report Card"- why is still showing " F grade" after introducing the keyword in page and title. After changing the title and putting the keyword inside the title, in this section, "Exact Keyword Usage in Page Title", it shows the first title, without updating my changes. I have updated several times. In some cases worked, in this case doesn't. For example "online project management software" grades F, and "project management software" grades A, even if I've put the "online" word in title an so on. Now I have the same issue with "stock management software" which grades F. "stock management" grades A, even if i've put exactly "stock management software" thanks.

URL paramters and duplicate content

Hello, I have a 2-fold question: Crawl Diagnostics is picking up a lot of Duplicate Page Title errors, and as far as I can tell, all of them are cause by URL parameters trailing the URL. We use a Magento store, and all filtering attributes, categories, product pages etc are tagged on as URL parameters. example: Main URL:
/accessories.html Duplicated Title Page URLs: /accessories.html?dir=asc&order=position
/accessories.html?mode=list
/accessories.html?mode=grid
...and many others How can I make the Crawl Diagnostics not identify these as errors? Now from an SEO point of view, all these URL parameters are been picked up by google, and are listed in WedMaster Tools -> URL parameters. All URL parameters are set to "let google decide". I remember having read that Google was smart enough here to make the right decision, and we shouldn't have to worry about it. Is this true, or is there a larger issue at hand here? Thankas!

Report notification emails (SEOmoz PRO Application ) --- Is it possible to customise the sender email address and/or email signature

The ranking reports are great but is there any way of changing the sender email address to be our own, and have our signature appearing at the bottom of the email notifications? We'd really like to send them direct to our customers and save some time double handling.
