DA without PA, Does it help?

My site has been getting great conversions for over a year, My lead count has been increasing monthly. But since january my traffic started decreasing then at the end of march the traffic dropped in half. I think it was called Update Fred. Yet i have only lost rankings for a few keywords.That i can see. I went from 30-40 leads per day down to 10 per day. The few keywords which dropped are most likely the guilty keywords i use to get my traffic from .
At this point I started studying my backlinks to see how they are looking. I noticed alot of High DA links which mostly have PA-1.. My question is ...Will DA alone give me the link juice i need to gain top positions?

It probably depends on the site. There are some high-authority sites that are basically platforms for other sites, so in that case, no.
I would think a relevant link from an integral but low-authority page on a high-authority site would be a plus, especially because the authority of that page might be higher than you think (maybe Moz just hasn't found its other links yet, for example).
As far as your problem, to start, I'd take a close look at the pages that used to convert and see if there are any on-site improvements you can make. Use the on-page grader and make sure you have your bases covered on that end.

New, credible links are not effecting DA
The company I work for recently started distributing press releases via PRNewswire. Our first press release had over 100 pickups. We included several links to our site in the release. It was published on credible sites like AP News and Yahoo Finance (these sites have DAs of 94). None of the links or mentions show up on our discovered links and it's been over a month. Our DA has not increased at all and it's only 18. Am I missing something? I would think with over 100 new links, we should've gained some traction. I've checked all sites for "no follow" markings and haven't found any so I don't think that's the issue. Please help!

How To Increase Blog DA to 50+
Hey, I am wondering to know the key metrics which MOZ considers before giving a blog of DA 50+. I have tried to search but couldn't find the best answers so was wondering how it's achieved. For example a site named "SportsALA" have a DA of 20 but i see they have links from many sites. I have checked other sites as well for example and they have less RDs but still had higher DA. Can anyone help me to explain Moz DA 2.0 factors a bit more. Thanks

Wrong page ranking and rank drop, help!
Dear Moz community I would like to hear your advice about our current SEO problems. Our website is www.poolsonline.nl. This is a website where people can learn the Polish language on our website. This website has been online since 2007. The website got really outdated, so we built and launched a new version on March 1st (one month ago). We have created a salespage that we would like to rank for the keywords 'cursus Pools' (Polish course) first of all and 'pools leren' (learn Polish) secondly. The page is https://www.poolsonline.nl/cursus-pools-leren-spreken/ The old website was on rank 4-5 (roughly) for 'cursus Pools' and 'pools leren'. When we launched the new website we were on the top 5 with two of our pages. We were even on rank 1 and our salespage was also showing on the first page and often also in the top 5 (below the 'wrong' page of ours). We got quite a lot of trafic and new clients. However the problem was that the wrong page was ranking higher. We wanted our salespage to rank and not our home page (https://www.poolsonline.nl/) and not our free lesson (https://www.poolsonline.nl/lessen/groeten-en-gesprek-voeren-in-het-pools-les-1/). So what we did: Read/watched recourses about this problem: https://moz.com/blog/wrong-page-ranks-for-keywords-whiteboard-friday and https://moz.com/blog/wrong-page-ranking-in-the-results-6-common-causes-5-solutions and others. Removed the keywords (cursus pools en Pools leren) from the wrong pages (home and free lesson pages). Optimized the Salespage for these keywords Improved internal linking with these key words to our salespage Worked on link building for our salepage. We got about 5-10 links to our salespage in the first week of March (5 seems to be significant for this competition and we are working on more). These links are not yet in Moz OSE, but Google has indexed these pages and links. We are now on the bottom of page 1 or on page 2 for 'cursus Pools' and 'Pools leren' and not with the desired page Questions we have for you to help us: Why do you think our salespage is not showing up anymore for these keywords ('cursus pools' and 'pools leren')? Do you think we got a penalty for over optimization or bad links? What can we more to get our salespage to rank for these keywords? (we are working on building/earning more links) What can we do to restore our rankings and not drop lower anymore? Do we need to give our efforts more time? How long? Any other adivce? How do I help an author of family histories and biography's reach her niche's
Please have a look at this site for me http://www.louisewilson.com.au/ louise also has about six blogs on different books she has written. She has sold a few thousand copies which is great and has help people find out where they came from. Not many of these people have linked to her site's and she is not getting the traffic she deserve's for lots of long tail keywords and some broader ones. What simple on page changes can she make and what would be the best broader keyword's to go after. What would a good strategy be she has a very small ( tiny ) budget but can write and is enthusiastic , It's also a great way for her to be involved with people who are interested in simalar thing's. Oh yeah she has never used facebook of social networks how could she effectivly market her books and engage with potential reader's. Thanks in advance Oh and by the way Im not getting paid to help her Just incase you think i'm trying to get you to do my work for me. I just think this is an interesting case. I do do sales for an IT and SEO company but she is not one of our clients. So far I have just explained to her about keywords in titles meta tags and internal linking and just explained to her a bit about link building. But really need some help thanks very much. Linkbuilding help discussion
I've seen a couple of questions about outsourcing linkbuilding. The general tone is that it is a very dangerous practice to select any service or to hire someone without a very thorough vetting of their past projects. This makes sense to me. But my businesses don't have the resources to hire an employee or an established seo firm. I am developing a sound linkbuilding practice from what I learn here at seomoz. The trouble is I just don't have the time to do it to the scale necessary. I can afford to hire an assistant/contractor for $15/hr or less. Would it be a good idea to hire someone from elance or odesk and work very closely with them to make sure they build quality links? Do you think this is better than hiring someone who says they can get me to google #1 for a specific keyword for $100 or so? Does seomoz or anyone else have any recommendations on where to go to find quality help? Thanks
