Page ranking well for multiple keywords but which to optimize for?
-
I have a home page of a website that ranks well for multiple keywords and is the main source of conversions for the site. Obviously I would like to optimize the page to increase its rankings and click through rate on search results. But I cannot optimize for all can I? If I optimize for one or two then it seems to me the others will suffer.
What is the best strategy here? Should I focus on creating new pages for each individual keyword and work on those instead?

I've wondered the same thing, thanks for the helpful info!

Hi,
I would suggest you to pick 2-3 keywords and create new pages and optimize that page for those keywords by getting links from relevant site and using perfect on page optimization.
actually we are not aware that how many keywords are ranking for homepage so I suggest you to first try to optimize for two to three keywords and if you get desired results you can try for another sets of keyword.
IMO no need to create separate pages for every single keywords because at least 2-3 keywords can be targeted on a single page.*
Hope this helps.
Thanks

How many keywords do you recommend tracking?
I am working through thousands of organic keywords and would like to create a list of core keywords. I want the list to be small enough that we can really go after these keywords and track progress. I work for a B2B software company. I am thinking between 20-30 but I would love to hear any tips, opinions and recommendations! Thank you!

Brand Name Keyword Stuffing
I'm targeting Roho Cushions and the category page has many products starting with Roho underneath it. I know the keyword "Roho" shows up at least 70 times. I'm not targeting the keyword Roho, but could this negatively effect the rest of my keywords that start with Roho, such as "Roho Wheelchair Cushions"?

Authority site targeting multiple similar keywords
Hi! I found a niche I'd really like to work on. I was initially targeting a longtail keyword but there are so many available for this niche I decided to just make an authority site instead. My plan is to have multiple pages with each page targeting a separate long tail keyword in the niche. There's probably going to be over a 100. Let's say for example it's an organic gardening niche. The website will be setup for the entire niche and the page titles will be structured as such: Best Organic Gardening Soils Best Organic Gardening Tools Best Organic Gardening Seeds I'd prefer it to be setup this way so I can target traffic for the term with and without "best". I'm wondering if this sounds a bit spammy or is acceptable? Any other ideas as far as targeting similar longtail keywords in the same niche on a single site? Thanks so much!

It appears that my search rankings in my SEOMoz profile aren't working - either that or something really bad has happened to my rankings. I left it a few days thinking it was updating but nothing seems to have changed. Can anyone help?

Are keywords rankings a zero sum game for our site?
We’ve made pages with resources for our customers. These pages have been well received and gotten us some good traffic. But these pages only target our main keywords tangentially. If we continue to build up pages like this -- that give us traffic from our customers, but don’t directly target our main keywords -- will our target keywords -- and the pages that focus on those keywords -- suffer? Is it a zero sum game for our web site? Does increasing rankings and pages for certain keywords mean that other keywords / pages decrease as a result?
