Gap between Keyword Explorer and SEPR Analysis
-
Hello everyone,
I'm having hard time to understand something, while i'm doing a competitor analysis.
I was looking at the report coming from the Keyword explorer tool, looking for one of my competitors subdomain. That's showing some keywords, but i found those keyword weird, regarding my market structure.
I type a keyword i'm interested with on Google, and i found that that finally, this competitor is raking #1, but keyword explorer was not showing this particular keyword on the keyword.
The SERP analysis coming from Moz is also good.
Is someone already experience that issue ?
Thanks

Hi there!
Jo here from the Moz support team.
It's a bit tricky to say what's going on here without examples. I wonder if you would be able to send details of the websites, urls and keywords you're looking at to help@moz.com and we can look into this further at our end.
Cheers!
Jo

Does Moz's keyword tool pull data from your IP address?
Does anyone know how Moz's keyword tool pulls their keyword ranks? Do they take it based off of the IP (history and cookies) that is being used? I am trying to find a way to collect keyword data that is neutral and not based off of my previous searches, etc. TIA

Keyword Difficulty tool showing Google search volume or Bing?
Hi, I plugged in a bunch of keywords to know their search volume, chose Google from the drop down and then chose English from the next dropdown and clicked on Check dificulty. It shoes me "Bing Search Volume (Exact Match)" on top but shows the name of the keyword and "for Google CA" on the left. Is the search volume for Google? or Bing? and the difficulty as well? Google or Bing? "

How Does the On-Page Grader Know about my Target Keyword? Or how can I tell it?
So we've optimized a home page for a particular keyword, "blue widgets tx". But the on-page grader is giving information about "tx blue widgets", "blue widgets in texas", etc. and telling us we are an "F" for these keywords. Is it possible to tell the on-page grader, "Hey, just worry about 'blue widgets tx', and forget about those other ones"? I know I can do it by hand, but it will take forever.

Clarify "broad keyword usage in page title"
Hello Page grader has two different grades for page title that I want clarification on. There is "Broad Keyword Usage in Page Title" and "Exact Keyword Usage in Page Title". Googling around about and searching here I have found that "broad" seems to mean the keywords should be used throughout the page, rather than just in the title and header. Which makes sense as this is a kind of check to ensure the page IS about the keywords and not something unrelated. But what is meant by "broad" usage in the page title? This refers specifically to the page title and not the whole document. My best guess got me to this, given the keyword "Visit London Today"; "Come and visit London today" - exact match only "London - visit today" - broad match only "Visit London the city of dreams | visit London today" - matches both That could be complete nonsense, but basically is broad usage the use of keywords scattered in the page title? Thanks.

Opensite Explorer Not Showing Link Root Domains correctly
Howdy Moz friends, In opensiteexplorer It shows my linking root domains as 45. I have been adding several new links over the past few months from various websites but my linking root domain still remains the same. In the "just discovered" tool it has been showing my links but not in the linking root domain section. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Thanks
