Weird 404 Error URL's - Where to redirect?

For some reason, I end up with a bunch of weird 404 error URLs like these.
- /KRVWZ/SVfSZ/
- /wp-content/upl
- /MKWTZ/RKYQZ/
- /wp-content/upload
What should I do with them? Should I redirect them or is there a better way to do something with them. I do use Yoast Premium if that makes a difference.

I assume in the coverage part of search console?
If that is the case then Google can find them on your site. You may have a more serious issues Everett suggested. You need to be investigating this pretty quickly.
Let us know what you find and I am sure we will be able to help.

I will check the things you guys told me and see what I can find. The Urls were found in Google search console.

It could be:
-
Bots poking around the site for vulnerabilities
-
Old links out there if the domain was previously owned by someone else
-
Parasite hosting (see MrWhippy's questions) in which someone hacks the site publishes content on your domain, usually for the purpose of linking to theirs.

All of the above or something else
Here are some things to try:
1. Make sure your latest WP version is up-to-date
2. Install some security measures, like a plugin that thwarts "brute force" attacks, such as Log-in Lock Down
3. Update all account passwords, including the one used to log into your hosting Cpanel and FTP
4. Search Google for things like [site:yourdomain.com porn OR viagra OR cialis OR sex OR "credit cards" OR...]
5. Check Google Search Console for messages, including manual actions
6. Check Google Search Console for Queries that look out of the norm (see #4).
7. Use Moz or aHrefs to check for backlinks to URLs like that

Where are you seeing these errors?
Is it in google analytics? on MOZ? Different Software?
Have you tried navigating to the pages? Be careful about doing this.
have you looked at your site via FTP to see if you can see any strange files in there?

Javascript(0) extension causing an excess of 404's
For some reason I am getting a duplicate version of my urls with /javascript(0) at the end. These are creating an abundance of 404 errors. I know I am not supposed to block JS files so what is the best way to block these? Hiding body copy with a 'read more' button
Hi Whats the consequences of hiding half of the lovingly crafted body copy/written content (good quality modern version of what we used to call seo text) i have written for a clients main site sections and then having a 'read more' button to reveal ? I have written 500+ words for each page but client wants to reduce word count displayed since thinks looks too 'wordy'! Same titles in Webmasters' tools
Hello, In webmasters' tools I get a message saying I have 505 pages html improvements that are possible because 505 of my titles are used on two pages. Actually, webmasters' tools is tripping since the doubles they find are: www.example.com and www.example.com/ Anyways, I have indexation problems and I was wondering if this could be the case and how to solve that. URL best practices
Hi, I have a problem here, I used http://www.vietnamvisacorp.com/faqs.html instead of http://www.vietnamvisacorp.com/faqs. Hence, http://www.vietnamvisacorp.com/faqs will be caused 404 page. My question is should I change from faqs.html to faqs (no .html)? Thanks in advance any advice?

Changing the url of a page
Hello. I would like to change the url of a page. It currently has very few inbound links. I would set up a 301 redirect to the new url. Is there anything else I should take into account before changing the url? Is there a downside to changing a url? Do inbound links carry the same value when a 301 redirect is involved? Thank you!

Is it worth changing urls with underscores?
A few pages on one of my sites have underscores linking keywords rather than hyphens (keywords_and_keyword rather than keyword-and-keyword). Possibly from a time before I knew hyphens were preferred... One of the pages ranks well, and drives a good amount of traffic. The others do not do so well, but are still within the top 10 landing pages for the site. Is it worth me changing the underscores to hyphens (setting up 301 redirects first of course) or doesn't it make that much difference?

Product sorting and dynamic urls
On our weekly SEOmoz crawls, we get thousands of warnings about overly dynamic URLs as a result of our product sorting options at the top of our category pages. It seems like the ability to sort products by price, name, etc., is nice for the customer. For SEO is this really a problem or can we ignore these warnings?
