Does anyone know if it is possible to get a "dofolow" link from YouTube? All advice currently available seems a bit outdated,

I see that some competitors have links from youtube but i can not see ay advice on how to get do follow links from Youtube - is this possible and if so can anyone advise how? The only advice i can see is a little dated,

Just to add to Ross' answer - I wouldn't worry that those competitors are getting an edge in Google because of the links they are putting on YouTube. Links on YouTube could (feasibly) make Google aware of a page if links to that page don't appear anywhere else but if anyone is relying on that for discovery of pages then there's deeper problems.
If you think that the links from YouTube will be passing authority to your site, perhaps particularly high authority because it's a Google property - that's not how Google interprets that kind of thing and, as Ross points out, the automatic no follow is a sign of their attitude to that kind of user generated link.

Value of Links? What is each link worth?
Morning Everyone, I just had this thought and wondered what everyone's opinions were in terms of link value in monetary terms. We'll assume for the purposes of this that the links come from contextually relevant sites and that the sites in question have got the Moz DA from being high quality and have a good quality incoming link profile. Its a bit of a theoretical question, but i guess imagine if the only way you could get links was to pay for them, what would they be worth to you. This is link value for SEO purposes, they will have in addition value from traffic from good sites, that no doubt varies wildly depending on topic. I assume everyone also agrees on: The first link from a domain is the most valuable High DA sites are worth more than low ones. So could anyone who has an opinion on the link value suggest a monetary value for links. Its really just using a monetary amount to see how best to target my time. Here is my example of what might be expected, but I am hoping people with more knowledge will perhaps correct it. Does Google treat bit.ly links differently? If someone linked to my site through bit.ly, would Google see that link as if they had used the normal (exmaple.com/blogpost/) link?

Why am I getting links in my link report from sites that no longer exist?
So, I have a link report from Link Detox. And I'm going through all of them and considering what sites need to be removed. and trying to find emails and contact webmasters. There is just one odd thing i'm starting to see more of. A lot of links are on websites or webpages that no longer exist. The link no longer exists. Some of the domains are even available for purchase. Why are these links showing on the backlink report and are they really harming my website? Also, do I need to add these links into the disavow document that I will submit to Google?

How do you identify "Power Pages"
Good Morning from postively tropical near double digits Celcius Wetherby UK 🙂 I've just read "5 Methods to improve, indexing crwaling & ranking". Tip number two says "Link for powefull pages to pages that need the juice" My question is please; "What tool / methodology exists to indentfy pages withing a site that could be deemed as "powerfull pges" ie deeper pages that receive more inbound links etc" Any insights welcome 🙂

What do the "best" backlink profiles look like, in terms of percentages from quality content, bookmarks, social media, directories, etc?
I recognize that there is no such thing as one ideal link profile, per se, but I am curious, if you sampled 100 high authority sites, what would their inbound links look like on average, broken out by source type? Some sites would have a ton of social sharing due to their funny pop-cultural content, while others might be quoted and linked in context for their brilliant insights. A very technical resource might gain a lot of links from forum discussions. If I can complete this exercise on my own, I welcome your advice on how to do that with OSE or the like.

Etsy.com --Getting link juice through other pages on search results?
My sister has a store page on etsy.com where she sells home made crafts. And I want to help her rank higher on google with some of the other etsy stores. So i started to look at the other etsy store pages that are ranking well on google and found that they have a page authority between 48 to 52. So i looked at the backlinks of the ones ranking well on google with high page authority and found that many of their best links came from the internal search results page on etsy.com, and some only had one link from just an arbitrary etsy.com search page. I'm thinking this is because another product being listed on the seach page has a high page authority which then passes some of its link juice onto every other product on the page. But what is interesting is products are always being sold or getting added so even though you are on a search results page that happens to benifit from the link juice of another product the next time the page gets crawled you will be on a different search page. So i am thinking in order to maintain high page authority to you just have to have a lot of products listed so that there is a greater likely hood that you will find yourself on the same search page as another high authority page. I have not been doing SEO very long so i would love to hear what others think. I really have no idea, am i on the right track with this? (edited post) Thanks
