Solved How to get rid of the spammy links?
-
I'm seeing a lot of low-quality links pointing to my website making my spam score high that I didn't even create. I've done the disavow but what else can I do to avoid it altogether?

@mariyamrocks Hi there! If you're investigating improving your own site's Spam Score then I would recommend taking some time to explore which of the 27 flags you are triggering. We have a great guide on our Help Hub outlining what you can do to reduce your Spam Score.
It’s important to remember that Spam Score is not a measurement of the spamminess of links pointing to your site. It is not dependent on your backlink profile but instead represents the percentage of sites with similar features to the site you’re researching which we've found to be penalized or banned by Google.
The best way to improve your Spam Score is to dive into the 27 flags that make up Spam Score and assess your site to identify where you can make improvements.
Best of luck!

Best Blog Post Length to get Links
Okay, kind of silly question but i am looking for some help interpreting an analysis done by John Doherty almost a year ago: http://moz.com/blog/what-kind-of-content-gets-links-in-2012 In the document he mentions the correlation that longer posts on average receive more links but the graphs were really hard to interpret (for me). Based on the data what is the correct size we should shoot for (most graphs were missing labels). Any one have any insight? Should i shoot for 300 words per post, higher, etc? Thanks! Kyle

Reciprocal links
Are they worth anything, if they are from relevant sites? I'm I better off avoiding linking back wherever possible?

Outbound links
We are working with a large, global customer that has asked us to link to their website from about 5,000 pages of our website. The links would either point to one page on their website, or they would point to specific pages throughout their website. Is this a bad thing from an SEO perspective, as in - would either of us be penalized from search engines for doing this?
