Missing Meta Tag Description

I have received a number of missing meta tag descriptions on my website.

They all are with the comments to posts and it says /feed at the end of most of them.

What is causing this error??

I think we would need more information to help you. From what it sounds like, you have a blog site up and currently do not have meta descriptions attached to many of your individual blog posts. Depending on how your site is set up, then the /feed may be an RSS feed.

Product Tags

So Opencart allows the use of product tags (please note, this are NOT meta tags) which I believe are used for when customers want to search for a product using the search function. So one of my tags could be ''star wars socks'', and when a customer types this into the search it brings up every product containing the tag for socks. This is all good and well, however, these tags appear on the product page itself, right below the Manufacturer/Brand, and above the price. Will Google look kindly on this or could it be considered as keyword stuffing? Or will Google know they're for search and ignore them? I just need to know whether or not removing them entirely will be a good or bad idea.

Each page with a different meta description?

each page on my website represents a different department, can I program the header to show a different meta description on each page or should there only be 1 meta description tag per domain?

Should blog tags be location specific?

I understand the concept of organizing blogs with categories, but how specific should the tags on blog posts be? i.e. "cosmetic dentist" vs. "cosmetic dentist san francisco" I'm specifically using Squarespace if that helps. Thanks!

Schema description wordcount guidelines ?

Hi is there a wordcount guideline for the description field in Ravens schema creator ? according to their page on event schema an excerpt from the page will show up as a short description but then their tool has a field for adding a description! I was just adding some edited copy from the page into this but if it already pulls in an excerpt is there any need ? I take it its a good idea for better control of what's displayed in rich snippet, if so what's suggested wordcount limit ? cheers dan

How to add canonical tag

Hi, I read through many of the forum questions dealing with the overly dynamic URLS and I think I understand. Please let me know if I know what I am talking about: If SEO moz is saying I have 20 pages (mostly search and home/index pages) with overly dynamic urls, I would go to the that particular page and add the following code between the head tag: This code would cause Google to go to this page instead of the following duplicate index pages: 1. http://www.about-sports-collectibles.com/index.php?pcsid=0a83aa7119cf3d80a1d018634ec4ec94&p 2. http://www.about-sports-collectibles.com/index.php?pcsid=18b220fc62628b013a51c6f26209df50&p There are a total of about 8 of these index pages. The problem is that I can't figure out where I would access each of these duplicate pages to add the canonical tag. There is only one home page with coding. As far as the search pages are concerned, I would not want Google to follow those pages would I? If that is the case, what would be the best code to add between the tags? For instance here are a couple of the overly-dynamic URL pages for the search pages: 1. http://www.about-sports-collectibles.com/index.php?p=catalog&mode=search&search_in=all&search_str= 2. http://www.about-sports-collectibles.com/index.php?pcsid=50354d5791e627dc2be6c86528154a5e&p=catalog&mode=search I hope I am not overwhelming anyone with my questions. Multible Dublicate Titles & Descriptions

Hi, I reviewed a site for a client recently and noticed when I produced a crawl report (SEOmoz) that there were thousands of pages with the same content. This is because the developer added a ticket booking system which has a page for each day up to 2017 (5 years). I see in my campaign monitoring that this results in 9,445 duplicate content errors. The site is only 3 months old and has a Google PR of 4 and is ranking reasonable well for main keywords. Just wondering if there is a way to fix this or should I leave it. Is it eventually going to result in problems?. I cant see these pages when I view the server with FTP - perhaps they are dynamically created. Pat

Meta description tags & title tags duplicate content?

Although meta description tags have no impact on rankings - can there be a negative effect from having many duplicate meta title + description tags with just 1-2 words switched out?
