Is having one analytics account for lots of projects bad?

I manage several online web projects that have no link to each other. Now my question is if it will have any negative impact on ranking if I administer all those webpages with one account.
Usually google penalizes sites that are obviously linked to eachother. Is administaring several sites with one analytics account reason enough for google to penalize my sites?

Hi Malte,
Even though technically and logically it should not hurt your sites, I do have some experience in this where I had seen rankings and saturation affected when I had added unrelated websites into my GA account for easier management.
Of course this could have been coincidental or perhaps I was being paranoid. But I could not find any other explanation (as far as my investigation went) for this.

We have to see this as two different things, link between sites and link between Google Analytics accounts. If you make a link-weel between your sites Google may react, but I cant see any problem by creating connections between different sites GA, it has nothing to do with the SEO, it´s just the way you choose to manage GA..
One account with many profiles
Easy to manage, but, this will stop you in the future if you want to link GA to your Adwords-account. To make that connection to work you need separate accounts for each site.
One account for each site
I would prefer this option, one unique account for each site. Then you can add one login as administrator on all other accounts to make it easy to manage.

Same URL names in one domain
Hi All, I have 9 different subdirectories for languages in the same domain example: www.example.com/page.html www.example.com/uk/page-uk.html www.example.com/es/page-es.html we are implementing hreflang tags for the languages. I know it is better to translate URLs, but we won't for now, because all the NON-ASCII characters. But we are thinking to get rid of the dashes on the languages URL: -uk or -es, so it will be: www.example.com/page.html www.example.com/uk/page.html www.example.com/es/page.hrml would this be a problem? to have same page names even if they are in different subdirectories? would we need to add canonical tags, at least for the main domain URLs? www.example.com/page.html Thank you, Rachel

Implications of Disallowing A LOT of Pages
Hey everyone, I just started working on a website and there are A LOT of pages that should not be crawled - probably in the thousands. Are there any SEO risks of disallowing them all at once, or should I go through systematically and take a few dozen down at a time?

Is having one blanket h1 tag across my site bad?
I've been working on figuring out if my site host (jigsy) is hindering my seo. The site editor doesn't allow me to assign individual h1 tags for each page, it just blankets one across the whole site as part of a theme.....is this normal?...would it be better to have individual h1s?....is that a thing? Or should I work on making a better one since all my pages should technically be related to counseling/therapy? Site: www.joeborders.com

Lots of Pages Dropped Out of Google's Index?
Until yesterday, my website had about 1200 pages indexed in Google. I did lots of changes: removed low quality content, rewrote passable content to make it better, wrote high quality content, got lots of likes and shares on social networks, etc. Now this morning I see that out of 1252 pages submitted, only 691 are indexed. Is that a temporary situation related to the recent updates? Anyone seeing this? What should I interpret about this?

Can hotlinking images from multiple sites be bad for SEO?
Hi, There's a very similar question already being discussed here, but it deals with hotlinking from a single site that is owned by the same person. I'm interested whether hotlinking images from multiple sites can be bad for SEO. The issue is that one of our bloggers has been hotlinking all the images he uses, sometimes there are 3 or 4 images per blog from different domains. We know that hotlinking is frowned upon, but can it affect us in the SERPs? Thanks, James

One site per location or all under and umbrella site?
I am working on a project where we are re-branding lots (100+) existing local business under one national brand. I am wondering what we should do with their existing websites, they are generally fairly poor and will need re-designing to match the new brand but may have some residual links? 301 redirect the URL to the national site, e.g. nationalsite.com/localbusinessA? If so what should I look out for? Do I need to specifically redirect any pages that have links to them to the same pages on the new site? Or should I give them a new standalone website that they link back to the national brand site? More than likely this will be hosted on the same server and CMS as the main site just the URL will remain Do I need to make sure that any old URL's that had links to them are 301'd to the new pages?
