Wordpress - Missing Meta Description and Title Elements Too Short

I have a wordpress site. When SeoMoz runs the crawl, my report shows 0 errors, but a lot of warnings in two areas: Missing Meta Description and Title Element Too Short.
The only thing is, the URL's it shows under both of these categories look like this:
http://www.millerhypnosisatlanta.com/author/Michael/page/4/
http://www.millerhypnosisatlanta.com/category/anxiety-panic/
http://www.millerhypnosisatlanta.com/tag/goals/
These are tags, categories, and author pages.
How do I hide these from being seen by SeoMoz and Google? I mean I should do that right? Because there is no way I can add a description to these pages, or extend the title - right?

Hi Michael,
I would recommend installing the Wordpress SEO plugin from Yoast first - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/
& then take a read of his Wordpress SEO guide, in particular this section relating to categories, tags and author pages - http://yoast.com/articles/wordpress-seo/#advancedseo

Missing meta descriptions from Google SERPs
Hullo all, I run an e-commerce website and hence have a lot of product category/sub-category pages to handle. Despite giving each of these category pages meta descriptions, in the Google SERPs, a lot of these descriptions don't show up fully. Rather, only half the text that I'd inputed as my meta desc. shows up; the other half has generic stuff from that page given. I've attached a screen shot to give you an example of what comes up in the SERPs. Could you please tell me what exactly is the problem? Is it a coding issue? Or has Google not crawled that page? How to solve the meta : A description for this result is not available because this site's robots.txt. ?
Hi, I have many URL for commercialization that redirects 301 to an actual page of my companies' site. My URL provider say that the load for those request by bots are too much, they put robots text on the redirection server ! Strange or not? Now I have a this META description on all my URL captains that redirect 301 : A description for this result is not available because this site's robots.txt. If you have the perfect solutions could you share it with me ? Thank You.

Meta Refresh for No Javascript message
We're currently using meta refresh tag to check if JavaScript is enabled or not in users browsers. And if not then we redirect them to jsnotfound.aspx page: <metahttp-equiv="refresh"content="0;url= default.aspx?jse="0"/"></metahttp-equiv="refresh"content="0;url=> It's being flagged in SEOmoz tools so our developer tried solution highlighted in this Question: http://www.seomoz.org/q/meta-refresh-nojavascript-url ...but he couldn't get it to work. Is it really imperative we don't use the meta refresh for this purpose? Thanks in advance. Michael

Meta description and Meta Keywords
Hi, We are new to SEO and have some meta Q's Should Meta descriptions and meta keywords be different on every page? Is it bad to have the same meta data repeated on the site? If it has to be different does it have to be totally different per page of just slightly different? Should the description contain keywords is there an advantage to that? Thanks Andrew

Meta description showing in source code but not being detected by SEO Moz or other tools?
Hello fellow SEO enthusiasts, Re www.appetise.com Our developers have added a meta description and I can see it when I right click on pages to 'view source' as follows : Example : BUT - using the on page seo assessment tool on SEO Moz (and also using other tools which assess title, description and keyword optimisation) - they are telling us that the meta description is not present. Please could someone suggest why? If we can get the meta description picked up - we will reach A Grade for our core pages! And this will make us feel good - and hopefully shine through in our results :-). Any help greatly appreciated. Help with Rel Canonical on Wordpress?
Crawl Diagnostics is showing a lot of Rel Canonical warnings, I've installed Wordpress SEO by Joose De Valk and Home Canonical URL plugins without success. Any ideas? I'm getting a lot of URL's that I thought I blocked from being indexed, such as author pages, category pages, etc. I'm also getting stuff like "recessionitis.com/?homeq=recent" and "recessionitis.com/page/2/", those pages are similar to my homepage. I thought those plugins were suppose to automatically clean things up.. anyone use these plugins that have any helpful hints?
