Hi Mozzers,
I have a question: which top 5 questions to ask for a first meeting with a "future" customer to avoid bad surprises?
Thank you for your help.

By definition, your prospect won't know about SEO, Google penalties, backlinks, nofollow, canonical, etc.
The five questions should be:
1. How much revenue do you get from online visits/sales?
2. What increase in revenues would you expect from improving your website's visibility?
3. Are you OK with long term visibility investments or do you want quick results?
4. Do you have partners or customers who would be happy to speak about you?
5. What's the percentage of revenue you want to allocate to Online Marketing?
Between those 5 questions, you shut up and listen while taking notes carefully then you'll come back for the 2nd meeting with a tailor-made offer.

Ria gave a great URL to read there, but unless I missed them, it's missing a few points, like:
- Do you feel you have been hit by any penalties? Show stats and dates of concern.
- Do you have a monthly budget you are trying to work to?
There are a lot more that I would ask, but these are ones I couldn't miss.

Miriam Ellis recently wrote a blog post about this on Moz, which I would definitely recommend checking out:
https://moz.com/blog/local-seo-client-discovery-questionnaire
Within it, she provides quite an awesome template or "Client Discovery Questionnaire" of questions that she recommends sending to new clients to get a better understanding of the client's history including other consultants that they have worked or are working with. This is available to download as a Google Doc too! It's a great resource.

Google penalty removal expert questions
We have searched online for a Google penalty “expert” (individual or company) and have located what appear to be “experts”. Please provide feedback on the following 2 individuals/companies we have found that can help with penalty removal. Have you or one of your clients used either of the “experts” below? What were the results? How many disavows and reconsideration requests did you/they have to make? 1.www.penaltypros.com . To give a quote and to see what your links are they use links from Google Webmaster Tools only. Penaltypros.com disavows first and then removes bad links second. This is opposite of what Google and Seo’s recommend but penaltypros.com claims 100% success using this non-traditional approach. See imgur.com link for screenshot. 2.http://www.hiswebmarketing.com/ To give a quote and to see what your links are they use links from https://ahrefs.com/ only. Please provide any and all feedback on the above 2 “experts” and also post the websites, individual names, company names of those that you consider Google penalty removal “experts” so that we may obtain a quote from them. Question on 100% 'not provided' what are people seeing?
I've been curious what other SEO professionals have been seeing in their own analytics since the industry news came out that Google has gone to "100% not provided." I've definitely seen a steady rise in 'not provided' data across the board since about July but no sudden spikes and still not 100%. Looking at one specific website this morning for the month of October to date in GA, and segmenting out organic traffic from just Google, I'm seeing about 85% not provided. Looking at just today (Monday) it is 88%. So over time it is definitely trending up, and I expect it will be greater than 90% by the end of October. Just curious if that is consistent with what others are seeing? Has anyone truly gotten to 100% of Google Organic traffic at 100%?

Meta keywords confusion: include none, 3, 5, 20?
Over the last few months, I have come across a great variety of opinions on the use of meta keywords in the SEO plug ins or tools I fill out for customers. Some people and organizations advise to leave that field empty, others suggest to use maximum 3 keywords, but I have also heard 5 or maximum 20. I am quite confused about this? Does anyone know Google's latest opinion on this? And what about the other search engines Yahoo and Bing?

E-commerce shopping cart abandonment question!
I would like to know, in your personal experience what is the industry standard for shopping cart abandonment? Does it depend on the industry? Obviously I am not looking for the magic number because there is always room for testing and improvements. However, I do want to know what is the comfortable number that you can live with? Is it 50%, 60%?, 70%? Thank you in advance for your help.

Help! I need to hire a SEO / SEM Specialist - Am I asking for too much?!
Hey all! I'm expanding my in-house marketing team and I need to add an SEO / SEM Specialist that will strategize, execute & manage the following: Organic SEO PPC across multiple channels (Google, Bing & also social sites like Facebook) Remarketing & Display marketing Banner ads Retargeting We're a lean company that's all about doing more with less. But not being very familiar with the SEO / SEM world I'm afraid I'm asking for too much! What do you guys think? What's your experience been? If you do think that this is potentially a single position, what would be the best title for attracting talent? SEO / SEM Specialist? Digital Marketing Manager? With the research I've done - jobs / titles have been totally across the board! I'm not able to find much consistency. Thank you all for your help 🙂 It's greatly appreciated!!!!!

Question on Google's Differentiation
Hi everyone, We have a short question that probably has a very long answer: What are all the ways that Google differentiates one search result from another? This is really important for us to know and, up until now, we can't find a really good and complete source that explains this. Thank you in advance.
