No data for most of my keywords
-
Hi, I'm using Keyword Explorer to prioritise keywords. This is really hard as most of my keywords say 'no data' when I import them. How can I get this data please so that the Potential column is more accurate? Thanks
-
Hello,
Can we request that keywords with "no data" are added by Moz in future so that we can see those figures. I can go to Google Keyword Planner but it's much less convenient to use 2x sources for this.
Thanks,
G

Thanks a lot, I have booked another 20 minute session.
-
Yes, of course. You can book a second, twenty minute session (though I'm sure you can have longer if needed) using the book a session email link you received previously. I've used this twice, before and Steve was really keen to help.
-
Thanks for your reply. I had a full walkthrough on Thursday but now I'm trying to implement what we talked about, the data I need isn't available. Am I allowed a second walkthrough or is this just a technical issue to report?
Thanks

Hi,
PM sent. If you contact Moz, you can schedule a free walkthrough of the Moz tools, having given them an outline of what your are looking for from the site. This would be a good opportunity to go over issues like this. They have a UK based representative, Steve Dunn, who is really helpful.
I'd recommend contacting Moz via the blue chat icon for details.

Could you PM me a link to your site so I can try a few things, please?
-
Thanks for your reply. None of the tools I wanted to seem to work! I'm doing the 2 week free trial and you can't crawl my site to give me useful on-page advice as I use CloudFlare, and now I can't get search volumes which is crucial to my keyword research! I have spent a long time trying to set up Moz and learn my way around it, but it just doesn't seem to be at all useful which is surprising.
I need to input all my keywords into Keyword Explorer and make decisions on what to prioritise based on the combination of rankings, opportunity etc. How can I do this please?
Many thanks

Here's Moz's explanation of 'No data': "No data means we have not yet collected volume for the keyword" and the expanded answer from their FAQs (https://moz.com/help/guides/keyword-explorer
What does it mean when a keyword has “No Data” for its volume?
“No data” indicates that we’ve not yet collected search volume information on this keyword. It may have very high or very low volume (more likely the latter than the former, but with many exceptions, especially recently trending keywords or very obscure ones). Over time, we attempt to gather volume data for keywords on which we’ve reported “No Data” so you may see us update these as we gather it (approximately monthly).
As a rule, I usually assume low volume - the fact that these keywords are often "longer-tail" ('large black leather handbags uk', for example) will often confirm that.
There are other keyword research tools you can use to cross-reference, such as SEMRush and http://keywordtool.io but, like most of the best tools, these are paid-for solutions.
And, of course, there's Google's own keyword planner: https://adwords.google.com/ko/KeywordPlanner/ This is free, but requires you sign up for a free Google Adwords account (you don't need to create an Adwords campaign).
Don't forget that if you're not sure, you can always contact Moz for help: https://moz.com/help/contact
I hope that helps.

No keywords displayed for site in Keywords by Site or in CSV report. Why?
We have a site that we ran in On-Demand Crawl and Keyword Explorer. On-Demand Crawl revealed some information. However Keyword Explorer did not. We know there are ranking keywords for the site but no such keywords were detected by Moz. However, when we ran Link Explorer, 12 ranking keywords were detected and associated with the site. Why is there a discrepancy between these two reports? Thank you in advance.

Open Site Explorer: Error receiving data
Hi, When searching many URLs in Open Site Explorer, we seem to be getting the same "There was an error getting your data" message come up instead of the URL's metrics and inbound links. We have tried on different browsers as well, and the same issue results. Is there a reason for this or a way to fix this? Thank you! voPdqF5.png?1

My title has a TM symbol and Moz says I don't have the keyword in my title
Moz gave me a poor rating because I don't have the keyword in my title but I do, it just has a trademark symbol. Pelican 1500 Case is the keyword I'd like to rank for on this page: http://www.thepelicanstore.com/pelican-1500-case-1014.aspx Moz says the keyword doesn't exist on the page. Should I ignore it, remove it or otherwise change it? I feel the trademark symbol would help with CTR in the title.

Not sure why the data on the reports is stale. Meaning it hasn't been updated since my purchase date. Hard to know if I am making any progress.
I am a MOZ Pro subscriber and I am not sure why the data on the reports is stale, meaning it hasn't been updated since my purchase date. Hard to know if I am making any progress. How often does the data update?

OnPage Grader double counting keywords on responsive site (hidden vs visible)
FYI - it appears that if you have a responsive site that has blocks of text that are duplicated, but Hidden or Visible depending on the screen width, that On-Page Grader will count any keywords in that text twice. I have text shown in one location to Desktop users that needed to be re-located to a different part of the page for Tablet and Phone users to keep the layout nice. And my OP Grader keyword count doesn't match what I saw on the page doing Ctrl-F to find the keywords, unless you count the Hidden text. (not hidden like cloaking or some black hat thing - just not displayed on certain devices) I guess On Page Grader just reads the source code and ignores whether the text is hidden or visible. It would be nice if it read the code as if it was a Desktop device. (suggestion for Moz staff) Does anybody know if Google also ignores device dependent Hidden vs Visible areas???
