What's the best SEO book to study?
-
If you only had 3 SEO books to read which ones would they be?
-
Yes, but a lot of the topics discussed are still key concepts. The fundamentals of SEO haven't really changed, just the means of achieving optimization has. On Page SEO is still extremely important along with the creation of quality content, and quality links. Even though the book is dated, you can still learn a lot from it.
The industry is also constantly changing, which is why, in my second response, I recommended to subscribe to some of the prominent SEO Blogs' RSS Feeds.
-
I heard about the Art of SEO but is it outdated?
-
On a second thought, there are other venues you may want to look into as well. I love SEOmoz, it is one of my favorite websites of all time (user friendliness) and has one of the most active online communities i've ever seen. There are however, other websites that provide great information on SEO, I personally subscribe to 20-30 feeds on web design and SEO that gives me constant fresh content to look through and learn more SEO. The YouMoz Blog, and the SEOmoz blog are two of my favorite subscriptions, but there are at least another half dozen solid blogs you could use.
-
I have two favorites
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Secrets- Danny Dover, he was the lead SEO when SeoMoz still did consulting
The Art of SEO: Mastering Search Engine Optimization (Theory in Practice) - This is an older book, but a classic. Rand Fishkin, actually contributed to this one.

What are the most effective SEO methods for online communities and forums?
My company has a global online community of over 350,000+ members. We allow users to submit articles revolving around the scrum and agile framework. Sometimes the submissions become overwhelming and I am curious if there is anyone out there who may have experience with this same scenario. I don't want to place meta data on every single article that comes in, because I don't have the resources nor time to optimize each and every article. Does anyone have techniques or suggestions in regards to either leaving the meta data untouched or customizing each individual piece? Any thoughts or ideas will be extremely helpful. Thanks

How do I find a great SEO Mentor?
I've had good experiences growing with Mentors. I don't mind paying the high rates as it has always left me with a good return. What I'd be looking for: Someone to give me direction Someone to correct and provide advice on a strategy that I have come up with Someone to provide answers when I'm stuck Someone that I can grow with It would help if the mentor has good knowledge of and can help with how social media, blog writing, email marketing all ties in to a good SEO campaign. Ultimately we want to be able to help our clients reach more people any way possible. With this I feel I can take the next step and start offering these services in a way that works for our business and more importantly allows us to meet the needs of our clients. But finding an SEO mentor is proving harder than I thought. So does anyone have any tips on where to find a mentor? Who is actually doing it now and would be a good option? And what would the rates be? I was thinking in the $100-150 range. Is this reasonable for an SEO mentor? Any help here will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

How to ask Google to remove old pages that don't exist
I have moved a site to a new location. There are a number of pages that date back to 2012 and 2011 and we do not want them anymore. Is there a way to ask Google to remove these pages entirely.

Market Motive - Take their SEO Course?
Hi there, I'm considering taking Market Motive's online SEO course for $3,500. It's a steep price for me so I wanted to ask you guys if this is a wise choice. The course would grant me certification and is around 90 days to complete. Has anyone had any experience with this course? It seems a little old, but Market Motive claims they update their videos.
