Got a link building question here

I've been doing a lot of back link analysis on my competitors and noticed that a lot of links are coming from wordpress.com, blog.com, blogspot.com, etc blogs. These are free blogs in the format of http://www.username.blogplatform.com. These individual blogs seem to have product reviews and mentions for many different products (we are an e-commerce website). I would like to know if anyone has done any outreach to the owners of the third party blogs. This looks very different from guest blogging and I want to know if there is a way to reach out to these blog owners in order for them to write something about our products.

Thanks for the answer. I will look into social media network and try to contact blog owners that way. Not sure if they own bunch of blogs and link to themselves.

Does those blogs have a contact us page or any Social Media network they are participating in? You can fill out the contact us page or reach them via social media.
Another way I see this is that might your competitor be the owner of those free blogs and simply linking back to himself? I've seen people creating free blogs and linking to themselves as a link building tactic. I am not sure if it works and I am planning on testing it.

Is tiered link building a good thing?
I think that I have watched all the webinairs and online courses available on the web, but I still don't seem to know how and where to get links from. I know what type of links I should be getting and what type I should be avoiding, but that little luck so far. I came across the website of Matthew Woodward about tiered link building where he explains how to do this type of link building in depth. It seems quite interesting but also a lot of work so I don't want to invest my precious time in something that will be penalised by Google in the near future. Is there anyone that can give me some reason why I should or shouldn't do this?

Hi, quick question - has anyone ever used link building service called linkfool ? I was on another reputable seo information site and linkfool showed up, i checked it out and at the bottom site was an seomoz logo to insinuate partnership of some sort. Anyway , if anyone has used this service, was it worth the investment

Link building with About.com and ehow.com
Does anyone know if About.com has a policy on providing back links to websites. A client of mine has had a product reviewed on about.com as well as being included in a "how to" article, but no back link was provided. I checked out the page and noticed "paid for advertisement" back links over random words but no back links on any of the pages I randomly searched that were related to the topic being discussed.

Question about ranking and links
Hi, Some back ground info first: My DA/PA is 42, the competitors who show up in the search engines for the term I am after have DA/PA 55/60. I have been creating anchor text links which target the term im after through guest blogging usually blogs with DA/PA 40+, I did this consistently with a guest post every 3 days for about a month so that's around 10 guest posts. And I also did some brand name blog comments, but these were no-follow and added sig to some forums. This moved me from page 5 to page 1, position 4. I then stopped and over the last 3 weeks it slipped to position 6 then to position 8. The competition doesn't look to actively target this term looking at the data from opensite explorer there main anchor text is there brand names. Why would I be slipping through the results? Not moaning just want to understand why so I can counter it. I was thinking about going for social signals through a blog to help.

Link building from keyword domains
Hi all, I am currently working on link building to our site http://www.betxpert.com which has a number of keywords I am targeting. I have become aware that domains with the keywords are available. We (in Danish) target the phrase "ekpert tips" and the domain www.eksperttips.dk is available. Would it be a good thing for us, to register this domain and do one of the following things: a) DNS forward traffic to our main site b) Build a small blog with minor content and linking to the main site with text links with the tekst "ekspert tips"? c) Simply do nothing, save the money and spend it otherwise... Linking building tips please guys..
Hi Guys, I want to start linking building, but because it takes a lot of time it seems where is the best place to start? I have quiet a lot of PR articles and material, but are there any good places to target and quikcly?
