Do search engines always pay heed to no index instructions?
-
Hi,
I am currently working on a site that relies solely on it's images to attract traffic. My concern is that search engines will index our images, make them available through image searches and therefore allow our potential visitors to bypass our website completely.
I know that there are a number of methods available such as disallowing images in robots.txt or using "noimageindex" tags in the HTML etc. but do search engines always pay attention to these requests?
Does anyone have any experience with no indexing images? Or are there any methods that are guaranteed to work?
Thanks in Advance.

I use no index images on my personal site, as i love to photograph weird and wonderful things around melbourne. the engines crawl but dont index.
a little tip, if you are concerned about image theft, implement code so that images can't be saved to file.

Search Console Click Through Results
Hi Moz Community, I've newly started using Google's search console on a regular basis, and I have a query about the results coming from the platform. For example, I added this article URL to the console with field "URL containing" and "URL exact", and the results showed 71 clicks and 436 impressions over 12 months. However, when looking at the queries that show in the results to see where the clicks are coming from, all of them state there's no clicks from the dozen or so queries that show. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a field I need to fill in to show more results/top results? I've tested a few article URL's and the same has happened. Thanks in advance for any help.

What does it exactly means when Google brings the "brand name" to the beggining of the page title in search results when it was actually given at the end?
We see many times...page titles starts with "brand name: page for etc" where actually "brand name" has been given at the end and keywords at beginning. Why does Google make this change? I noticed this happens when similar title tags are used by multiple websites for high difficulty keywords. Thanks

Is it stil a rule that Google will only index pages up to three tiers deep? Or has this changed?
I haven't looked into this in a while, it used to be that you didn't want to bury pages beyond three clicks from the main page. What is the rule now in order to have deep pages indexed?

Google domain search
Hello all, I'm a newbie to SEO, so you'll have to bear with me. I just started a website LangleyHomeSaerch.com a few months ago and am having trouble ranking with google. When I search "Langley Home Search" with Yahoo or Bing, it comes up on the first page. However when I search it with google it doesn't seem to rank even in the first few hundred pages. The only way I can get a match from google is if I search "Langley HomeSearch" or "LangleyHomeSearch". I know due to google's newer algorithms that there is less importance put on domain name matches, but is this normal, or is there anything I can do to improve it? Thx, Colby Langley, BC

Profile Picture Display Next to Map on Google Search
On a recent Google search, I noticed that the top result also displayed the Google map of the location next to it but aside from that, it also displayed that business' Google+ Profile picture. I'm wondering how that is done. We have a Google+ account as well with an image associated with our business. At this point, the map doesn't even display for our business, but how does one get the map and the profile picture to appear on search results? Here's a link to the search result in question:

How often do people use Google Product Search
I was was reading Tom Critchlow's excellent blog on how to rank well for Google Product Search. I'm trying to find out if there are stats on how often people use this feature in Google (since it is not listed on Google's main navigation). I'm working with a customer who has b-2-b products and am trying to determine the value of adjusting his ecommerce pages to appear on Google Product Search.
