Noindex/nofollow on blog comments; is it good or bad ?

Hi,
I changed the design of one my wordpress website at the beginning of the month. I also added a "facebook seo comments" plugin to rewrite facebook comments as normal comments.
As most of the website comments are facebook comments, I went from 250 noindex/nofollow comments to 950; URL's are ?replytocom=4822 etc.
Moz campaign noticed it and I'm asking myself : is it good to have comments in noindex/nofollow ?
Should I do something about this ?

Thank you for your answer people. It looks like index,nofollow would be indeed better.
By looking more on the net, I also found a yoast article about this issue: http://yoast.com/wordpress-threaded-comments-and-seo/
"WordPress automatically adds a
noindex, nofollowrobots meta tag to each URL that has?replytocomin it."This is why all my comments URL look like http://www.example.com/example-post/?replytocom=1
Yoast plugin update offers an option to remove ?replytocom variable. I think that I will have to drop All in one SEO on this website...

I have been wondering about this myself. I am a believer that no-follows contribute but as co-citation, however I have no proof. Testing this theory would be fun.

Personally I would index comments but have a nofollow attribute to links within the comments. See what sort of tile and description the comments url generate ( you dont want duplicate titles and meta for those )

I understand why blog comments might be "nofollow" - because it preserves the page authority of the post. However, I don't understand why one would want to "noindex" blog comments. It seems to me that all that UGC, if indexed, would just make the page it resides on far more valuable.
Is my view of that skewed? Am I missing something? Thanks! (and sorry to answer your question with a question)
If it were me I would nofollow the comments but index the content of the comments.

Can anybody point me to an OSE tutorial blog on Competitive Analysis?
I came across a few blogs which got me started here on an SEOmoz Pro account and now I am working on building a competitive link analysis spreadsheet in Excel in order to identify how are competitors are beating us in Google rankings for specific keywords. How can I prevent errors of duplicate page content generated by my tags from my wordpress on-site blog platform?
When I add meta data and a canonical reference to my blog tags for my on-site blog which works using a wordpress.org template, Roger generates errors of duplicate content. How can I avoid this problem? I want to use up to 5 tags per post, with the same canonical reference and each campaign scan generates errors/warnings for me!

I have corrected the Problems in Crawl Diagnostics. When would it refresh/ re-crawl my site ?

On Page Report Card... with or w/o local modifiers?
Hey all! So I am curious how you recommend using the "on page report card" (which is really helpful) along with the concept of local modifiers. Â IE, here is a term I am going after: business forums but really I care about a specific location: business forums | Greensboro NC So the word I hear is typically to do your keyword research & page optimization FOR the primary term, but then tack on your local modifiers after. Â So which do you run reports on? Probably both is the best answer, eh? Obviously my local sites won't have a shot at ranking nationally/internationally for such a broad term as "business forums", especially with some monster sites out there with some serious clout. Â This is more of a best practices question. Thanks dudes.
