TLD vs Sub Domain in Regards to Domain Authority

I have always been under the impression that top level (or root) domains can hold different domain authority than that of a sub domain. Meaning that sub domain's and TLD can hold different ranks and strength in search engine result pages. Is this a correct or just an assumption?
If so when i add a root domain and subdomain into the campaign manager i get back the same link information and domain authority?

That does sound strange - did you set up www.automation.datalogic.com as a Subdomain (as opposed to a Root Domain - see: http://pro.seomoz.org/campaigns/new) within the Campaign Manager set up?

A subdomain is considered a separate website. This is why it is considered good SEO to pick between domain.com and www.domain.com and 301 one to the other (most pick www). This means that your new subdomain might as well be a new domain entirely. You'll have to do a new campaign.
As far as seomoz goes, I am not sure why they would aggregate it like that. Would probably need to ask the staff if it's a bug

It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. Url-delimiter vs. SEO
Hi all, Our customer is building a new homepage. Therefore, they use pages, which are generated out of a special module. Like a blog-page out of the blog-module (not only for blogs, also for lightboxes). For that, the programmer is using an url-delimiter for his url-parsing. The url-delimiter is for example a /b/ or /s/. The url would look like this: www.test.ch/de/blog/b/an-article www.test.ch/de/s/management-coaching Does the url-delimiter (/b/ or /s/ in the url) have a negative influence on SEO? Automatically Check List of Sites For Links To Specific Domain
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a tool that will allow me to put in a list of about 200 domains that are then checked for a link back to a specific domain? I know I can do various link searches and use Google site: command on a site by site basis, but it would be much quicker if there was a tool that could take the list of domains I am expecting a link on and then find if that link exists and if so on what page etc. Hope this makes sense otherwise I have to spend a day doing it by hand - not fun! Can increasing website pages decrease domain authority?
Hello Mozzers! Say there is a website with 100 pages and a domain authority of 25. If the number of pages on this website increases to 10,000 can that decrease its domain authority or affect it in any way?

HTC access 301 redirect rules regarding pagination and striped category base (wp)
I am an admin of a wordpress.org blog and I used to use "Yoast All in one SEO" plugin. While I was using this plugin it stripped the category base from my blog post URL's. With yoast all in one seo: Site.com/topic/subtpoic/page/#

Without yoast all in one seo: Site.com/category/topic/subtopic/page/# Now, that I have switched to another plugin, I am trying to manage the page crawl errors which are tremendous somewhere around 1800, mostly due to pagination. Rather than redirecting each URL individually I would like to develop HTC access 301 redirects rules. However all instructions on how to create these HTC access 301 redirect rules are regarding the suffix rather than the category base. So my question is, can HTC access 301 redirects rules work to fix this problem? Including pagination? And if so, what would this particular HTC access 301 redirect look like? Especially regarding pagination? And do I really have to write a 301 redirect for each pagination page?0 -
How is domain authority related to country top level domains?
I've noticed that for some country top level domains (tld) the domain authority returned by open site explorer is based on the domain that has been registered within the tld. For example, domainname.co.uk provides a domain authority specific to the domain. However, for some other country top level domains, this does not appear to be the case. Examples I have found include: domainname.co.nr domainname.co.pt domainname.co.ee For these top level domains the domain authority seems to be the same for every domainname, seemingly implying the domain authority is for the top level domain itself rather than for the domain. Is this a common situation for many country top level domains, so that what I see going in here is the tip of a large iceberg, or does this situation just apply to a very isolated set of country top level domains?

I'm analyzing a site and the page authority is the exact same for every page in the site. How can this be since the page authority is supposed to be unique to each page?

Why are my sub-domains ranking higher than my Root Domains?
I have just noticed that my sub-domains are ranking higher in Mozrank and Moztrust than the root domain - that seems nuts. Am I doing something wrong?
