TLD vs Sub Domain in Regards to Domain Authority

I have always been under the impression that top level (or root) domains can hold different domain authority than that of a sub domain. Meaning that sub domain's and TLD can hold different ranks and strength in search engine result pages. Is this a correct or just an assumption?
If so when i add a root domain and subdomain into the campaign manager i get back the same link information and domain authority?

That does sound strange - did you set up www.automation.datalogic.com as a Subdomain (as opposed to a Root Domain - see: http://pro.seomoz.org/campaigns/new) within the Campaign Manager set up?

A subdomain is considered a separate website. This is why it is considered good SEO to pick between domain.com and www.domain.com and 301 one to the other (most pick www). This means that your new subdomain might as well be a new domain entirely. You'll have to do a new campaign.
As far as seomoz goes, I am not sure why they would aggregate it like that. Would probably need to ask the staff if it's a bug

It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. The best way to influence your DA is to improve your overall site health with a focus on the quality and quantity of external links pointing to your site. Domain still not being found in search
Hi guys, I've been handed a client who needs some seo work. I've tweaked one of their pages to focus on a chosen keywords about 4 months back but still the site is not even visible using the new Domain Analysis tool from moz and it still won't rank at all for the keywords. Am I missing something here? Is there something blocking the SERP from listing the website? I've ran a site: search on Google and it returns 283 results on the website. It's puzzling me as there clearly is something stopping it from being ranked. The domain name in question is: https://cloud9inecommunications.co.uk Thanks in advance.

Url-delimiter vs. SEO
Hi all, Our customer is building a new homepage. Therefore, they use pages, which are generated out of a special module. Like a blog-page out of the blog-module (not only for blogs, also for lightboxes). For that, the programmer is using an url-delimiter for his url-parsing. The url-delimiter is for example a /b/ or /s/. The url would look like this: www.test.ch/de/blog/b/an-article www.test.ch/de/s/management-coaching Does the url-delimiter (/b/ or /s/ in the url) have a negative influence on SEO? GWMT / Search Analytics VS OpenSiteExplorer
Just had the experience of using OSE data to show what we call "linkrot" to a client -- only to find that GWMT / Search Analytics shows no such thing. Fortunately the client is an old friend and no face was lost, but it was dicey there for a bit as I have come to rely on and reference OSE again and again and again, OSE showed Domain Authority dropping by about 1/3 in the last 12 months, presumably due to old links getting broken, linking sites changing their architecture etc. And of course, ranking is tanking, as you would expect. But Google shows many more (and much more spammy looking!) backlinks. Has anyone had any experience benchmarking the 2 data sets of backlinks against each other? Dr Pete?

MoZ vs SEMRush - Keyword Difficulty and Keyword With Low Competition.
Hi, My question is very focussed regarding these 2 tools. Is it correct to understand that MoZ tells keyword difficulty and not which keyword is easy to compete. And SEMRush tells which keyword is easy to compete but does not tell which keywords are difficult to compete? I mean one (Moz) misses the one part and the other (SEMRush) misses the other part. Hope some will enlighten me to the point. Best

what is relation between domain age and domain authority? Old registered domain help for domain authority higher or not? if so, but i am still in confused, http://www.green-lotus-trekking.com/ this is too old domain but authority is only 33?

Comparing Domain Authority Scores
Since your scale (like PageRank) is a logarithmic scale, it makes it hard to judge the distance between 2 scores. Can you give me a rule of thumb. For PageRank, each jump is an exponential jump - so that a PR6 is perhaps 10 times stronger than a PR5. What is the log base that SEOMoz uses. Should I assume that a 60 is 10 times stronger than a 50? This is important when it comes to measuring progress because growth is going to get more difficult as you move up the scale and I need to communicate the distance between our current Authority score and our goal. How to track all domain keywords?
Hello, lets say I have domain www.example.com I want to track rankings of www.example.com/product and www.example.com/anotherproduct with different keywords, so do I have to set up 2 different campaigns? Or is it possilble to track whole root domain with paths? Thanks!
