TLD vs Sub Domain in Regards to Domain Authority

I have always been under the impression that top level (or root) domains can hold different domain authority than that of a sub domain. Meaning that sub domain's and TLD can hold different ranks and strength in search engine result pages. Is this a correct or just an assumption?
If so when i add a root domain and subdomain into the campaign manager i get back the same link information and domain authority?

That does sound strange - did you set up www.automation.datalogic.com as a Subdomain (as opposed to a Root Domain - see: http://pro.seomoz.org/campaigns/new) within the Campaign Manager set up?

A subdomain is considered a separate website. This is why it is considered good SEO to pick between domain.com and www.domain.com and 301 one to the other (most pick www). This means that your new subdomain might as well be a new domain entirely. You'll have to do a new campaign.
As far as seomoz goes, I am not sure why they would aggregate it like that. Would probably need to ask the staff if it's a bug

It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. Domain still not being found in search
Hi guys, I've been handed a client who needs some seo work. I've tweaked one of their pages to focus on a chosen keywords about 4 months back but still the site is not even visible using the new Domain Analysis tool from moz and it still won't rank at all for the keywords. Am I missing something here? Is there something blocking the SERP from listing the website? I've ran a site: search on Google and it returns 283 results on the website. It's puzzling me as there clearly is something stopping it from being ranked. The domain name in question is: https://cloud9inecommunications.co.uk Thanks in advance.

Removing Domains From Disavow File
We may have accidentally included the wrong domains in our Disavow file and have since removed most domains leaving the only very highly rated spammy links (using moz's new spam score)in the file. How long can it take for to google to recognise this change?ThanksMike

Automatically Check List of Sites For Links To Specific Domain
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a tool that will allow me to put in a list of about 200 domains that are then checked for a link back to a specific domain? I know I can do various link searches and use Google site: command on a site by site basis, but it would be much quicker if there was a tool that could take the list of domains I am expecting a link on and then find if that link exists and if so on what page etc. Hope this makes sense otherwise I have to spend a day doing it by hand - not fun! How is domain authority related to country top level domains?
I've noticed that for some country top level domains (tld) the domain authority returned by open site explorer is based on the domain that has been registered within the tld. For example, domainname.co.uk provides a domain authority specific to the domain. However, for some other country top level domains, this does not appear to be the case. Examples I have found include: domainname.co.nr domainname.co.pt domainname.co.ee For these top level domains the domain authority seems to be the same for every domainname, seemingly implying the domain authority is for the top level domain itself rather than for the domain. Is this a common situation for many country top level domains, so that what I see going in here is the tip of a large iceberg, or does this situation just apply to a very isolated set of country top level domains?

How fast can page authority be grown
I understand that it is easier to rank for a particular keyword given a higher DA score. How fast can page authority be established and grown for a given keyword if DA is equal to 10/20/30/50? What are the relative measures that dictate the establishment and growth of this authority? Can it be enumerated to a percentage of domain links? or a percentage of domain links given an assumed C-Block ratio? For example you have a website with DA of 40, and you want to target a new keyword, the average PA of the top ranked pages is 30, the average domain links are 1,000, and the average number of linking domains is 250 - if you aim to build 1,000 links per month from 500 linking domains, how fast can you approximate the establishment of page authority for the keyword?

Spam Directories creating misleading Authority ratings
How does the website www.starsdirectory.com.ar get a Domain Authority of 54 and a Page Authority of 61 when Google quite correctly gives it a PR 0? It is clearly a spam directory, which Google has recognised. It is very misleading using OSE or Campaign Management when sites such as these (and there are hundreds more we have found) are skewing the results of competitiors through the use of spam links. Is there no way that SEOMoz tools can identify such spam sites when they create their ratings?
