SEO value of InDesign pages?

Hi there, my company is exploring creating an online magazine built with Adobe's InDesign toolset.
If we proceeded with this, could we make these pages "as spiderable" as normal html/css webpages? Or are we limited to them being less spiderable, or not at all spiderable?

Assuming that you plan on posting them on your site as pdf files then they are spiderable to some extent. Google does spider and index some pdf's. I wouldn't advise this as a plan because pdf's do not generally rank well in most areas. The only category I can think of offhand where they do are irs forms.
They would be much more likely to be thoroughly crawled, indexed and ranked if they are posted as actual webpages in html.

If you use Adobe's toolset aka Digital Publishing, then you will be creating an native-like app for your readers. While there are very attractive examples of these, this technology is less suited for marketing purposes. One of the reasons being that content in native apps, in other words published on the App Store, is not being indexed by Google.
If you want your content to be found organically, then this is not the route to take. If you want to create content for marketing purposes, then this is likely not the route to take either: other impediments are eg the decrease in lead conversions because you go through the app store instead if direct access. If you export as PDFs, these will be searchable (but of course not optimized) but then again, they are not responsive, no in-content analytics etc.

Do you know of any other sites which are also using this technology? If yes, try doing a google site: search for that site and do some investigation to see if they get crawled similarly.

I work for a company in the travel industry and we are currently in the process of building out a 360-degree video landing page to inspire travel to our destination. There is some desire from individuals on my team to use the unicode degree symbol ( ° ) after 360 to ensure clarity. We currently have the ° symbol in the Page Title and H1 tag. Does the use of a unicode character adversely affect SEO? Our concern is that it is very unlikely that people are searching for 360-degree videos using the unicode symbol. Is it good to redirect million of pages on a single page?
My site has 10 lakh approx. genuine urls. But due to some unidentified bugs site has created irrelevant urls 10 million approx. Since we don’t know the origin of these non-relevant links, we want to redirect or remove all these urls. Please suggest is it good to redirect such a high number urls to home page or to throw 404 for these pages. Or any other suggestions to solve this issue.

Splitting Page Authority with two URLs for the same page.
Hello guys, My website is currently holding two different URLs for the same page and I am under the impression such set up is dividing my Page Authority and Link Juice. We currently have the following page with both URLs below: www.wbresearch.com/soldiertechnologyusa/home.aspx

Linking Root Domains: 29
Total Links: 128 I am under the impression that if the URLs were the same we would maximise our backlinks and therefore page authority. My Question: How can I fix this? Should I have a 301 redirect from the page "/" to the "/home.aspx" therefore passing the authority and link juice of “/” directly to “/homes.aspx”? Trying to gather thoughts and ideas on this, suggestions are much appreciated? Thanks!0 -
Home Page .index.htm and .com Duplicate Page Content/Title
I have been whittling away at the duplicate content on my clients' sites, thanks to SEOmoz's pro report, and have been getting push back from the account manager at register.com (the site was built here and the owner doesn't want to move it). He says these are the exact same page and he can't access one to redirect to the other. Any suggestions? Does the use of sliders for text-on-page, effects SEO in any way?
The concept of using text sliders in an e-commerce site as a solution to placing SEO text above or in between product and high on ages, seems too good to be true.... or is it? How would a text slider for FAQ or other on-page text done with sliding paragraphs (similar but not this specific code- http://demo.tutorialzine.com/2010/08/dynamic-faq-jquery-yql-google-docs/faq.html) might effect text-on-page SEO.
